I do fine, thanks. I have like 12-1500 BPs on average. Not world beating by any means, but enough that I can beat truly awful people.

I am not a great player and never will be, as I am not devoted to the game.

I have ABSOLUTELY NO DESIRE to play competitively. Hence randoms.

The FGC mentality here is so wrapped up in TOTAL MASTERY that it's entirely offputting to someone who just wants to throw down for fun.

Bruh, you are on a roll

and no, not everyone wants to be Daigo

Or, or, or, just hear me out here, or, just listen to this radical idea that I have, or, or, it may sound crazy but maybe the FGC finds learning combos and fighting strong opponents fun. Kind of like Ryu from that fighting game series everyone talks about.

Nah, thats dumb, FGC only cares about frame datas

generally the developer themselves dont do this, the community does. i dno man if you want a really brief overview of what the characters kinda do check out the guilty bits series. its for +R. not really my favorite videos but they should give you a general idea.

This is ok, but don't expect any of the characters to really play too much like how they are here, the only ones that are similar are Millia, Faust, Eddie, Potemkin, May, and Venom. Everyone else is pretty different, Ky especially

Well, no. You're absoutely wrong there. You did not once mention online to start so the assumption was right. Me and probalby a few others here might find it odd that you don't have a set few characters to main. But instead you're going in raw with all characters as random. That's just a very odd take on a fighting game. But honestly, why not go through the trials of each character up to say 8? 9? That will at least give you a good idea of what every character can do. And it will help you distinguish your normal shoto-like characters and charge character.

How is the FGC mentality total mastery?

I don't have any desire to play competitively but I don't random when I play so does that make me a competitive player by default?

If you just started your post with something like "hey guys I was wondering if anyone has a quick reference move list for SF4? I'm looking to play some randoms online and just want something I can look at when the match is loading" you would've had way better responses.

Instead you call the community the worst community and they still help you.

Please stop helping me FGC.

With the help you collectively offered (one or two gentlemen aside!), you have given me a migraine!

No one gives a shit if you master the game or not. What you asked for is fairly close to impossible.

What you've created is not what you've asked for.

I understand the whole random thing but...ehhh, is this your first go at Street Fighter? Do you even know the basic fundamentals of the game? Because if you are not and trying to go off a spreadsheet you made, isn't going to do jack for you. You'll get destroyed no matter what.

I don't want to MASTER EVERY CHARACTER.

I have my basics down. I am FINE at USFIV.
I am asking for something really simple...

It's astonishing that NO ONE IN THE WORLD ever needed this before.

I don't even want to be good at SFIV (hence, I pick RANDOM).

I just don't want to be flailing around.

Also,
Please, stop harassing me.

This isnt a question of semantics.

I asked for a printable sheet.

I am not so dumb that I cannot read that there is a training mode in the game, nor am I ignorant of in-game move lists.

Let's be clear here... On post 11, I mentioned that I was playing online. Anything after that is either posted in haste or antagonistic.

How are posts on a message board giving you a migraine? You attacked the community rather quickly in the thread and got responded to.

It's pretty clear that you were looking for a fight when you made this thread, OP. And not in Street Fighter.

Sheesh.

Well at least you're admitting that you're posting without thinking and to be antagonistic.

When dealing with a migraine, I suggest you pick a pain reliever and follow the inscription on the label. Please do not random select from your medicine cabinet.

Well with the way your acting you don't deserve any help. Insulitng everyone, acting like your being insulted. It's really pathetic and I hope it's a troll attempt because if your not than wow.

How would I know which pain reliever to pick? You're being incredibly unhelpful. MedicalGAF should die.

Guilty Gear has the same basic move inputs as SF with the exception of the removal of 360's with half circle back to forward replacing those. Charge characters being the rarest in general. But honestly with GG there really isn't a few "cool and useful" moves as generally their entire moveset is used at various points in a match be it in combos or whatever.
This is how you don't sell someone on a fighting game.

This thread is lolz from both OP and others.

OP, calm down. The rest, do the same.

I guess sometimes when taking a FG seriously, one forgets that there are people playing it casually.

Have fun OP. Playing a fighting game and learning all of its in and outs can be fun, but if casual play is your thing, then by all means go ahead. Also, if random makes you choose a character you don't want, just pick a different character you like each time.

I don't need any more help.

I've done myself what I asked FGC to provide.

There is no need for further posting in this thread, unless you are being a troll.

man this shit aint worth making a fuss over... let him learn the game in his own (seemingly strange) way. even if someone is willfully ignorant, there is no reason to get upset about it.

This is how you don't sell someone on a fighting game.

If I was trying to sell it to you I would post cool videos. I gave you the truth about the series.

Edit: I mean I could be like 'YO THERE IS THIS SOL CHARACTER THAT SHOOTS FIRE ACROSS THE GROUND AND THEN HE RUNS UP BEHIND IT AND RIGHT BEFORE IT HITS YOU HE'S LIKE BAM GRABBING YOU BY THE NECK WITH HIS WILD THROW SLAMMING YOUR PUNK ASS INTO THE GROUND SO HARD IT BOUNCES YOU INTO THE AIR THEN HE DOES A COMBO WHILE HE FUCKING DRAGS YOUR ASS TO THE GROUND WITH HIS FOOT ONNNN FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIREEEEEE"

but nah.

Edit 2: Actually reading that over made me want to go play it hahahaha

Well you're not helpful. Did you provide him a sheet with all the moves? No? Then you fail. We all failed. The GAF FG Community has failed a fellow player in finding a full piece of paper with moves on it. Game over man. Game over.

Man this takes the cake in worst scrub thread in the history of GAF..... Worst OP award too.

But to be on topic, I really don't understand how you're having problems remembering the movesets in a game as simple as Street Fighter when the majority of the cast consist of QCF,HC,360 and charge characters. Not to mention SFIV doesn't have some set of obsessively difficult comands or even confusing. Also how is a one page reference gonna make shit better? also why play Random Select if you can't handle the majority of the results. You sound like a scrub, you act like a scrub, I'mma take a wild guess and say chances are.....

You mean someone from the FGC linked it to you and you moved some stuff around in photoshop? This is probably the most arrogant post I've seen on the web in a long time.

Didn't know you could close threads and declare people trolls.

Dat piece of paper though, it will make you OP in 5 seconds.

This thread oddly delivers, and is one of the most bizarre threads I stumbled upon in a looong time. Surprised it isn't locked, lol.

You know I wonder sometimes if FGW forgets what it's like to be casual, cause back in the day Nintendo Power had a two-page spread with all the command moves and fatalities for every MKII character and it owned

OP wanted it all on a single page doe

so he made one himself! using links and info provided by the GAF FGC! it all worked out in the end!

Start counting the pages.

OP is totally correct (his sentiment, I mean), it was possible to go random in SSFIV and Third Strike, but with 44 characters it's hard to remember who is a charge and who's a shoto, etc. But with 44 characters I also don't want to focus on just one character, and the choice becomes difficult and stresses me out and man I just want to play a fighting game not learn Magic the Gathering.

It'd be nice to have like 4 or 5 specials on the splash screen just so I don't try to dragon punch and totally fail. It's more about knowing what moves I don't have so that I don't just whiff.

That, or I should be able to take characters out of the random list so that I can skip the ones I absolutely don't know the movesets for.

These are actually some good ideas. Pay attention Capcom!

IIRC Tekken Revolution shows 3 or 4 moves for a character at the character select screen, that'd be nice to have in other fighters too.

3rd strike was probably worse because some characters had both charge and command.

like my main Urien

also how fucking hard is it to learn the basics of one character than move to the next? i'm gonna go into a DOTA thread and call them assholes for not having a sticky note available teaching me how to play all 100 characters. i shouldn't have to play them myself to find out
