It's a Cartoon too.
You mean anime.
It's a Cartoon too.
Never got around to reading this one, I used to read all the comics (hehe) in Shonen Jump way back when but I'd always skip it. Now and then I want to get into it but then I see that there are now 800 chapters, so, yeah...
everyone says that until they start reading/watching it lol then they cant stop
and also, remember that it's made by just one man, contrary to most of the other comics on the list that are a collective effort
I can't watch the video but I wonder how accurate those figures are for the american characters. Like, do Justice League comics count for Batman and Superman? I also wonder where Tintin would rank.
Yes, it'll be in their heart.
Ugh. I guess I need to try it again. I got to the arc with Sanji's introduction and it felt like a slog. Backstory was cool though.
Is that slump compared to Marineford or previous arcs? I ask because Marineford was a climax point whose plot details made the nightly news casts in Japan. Those sales and levels of hype will only be reached again when the series enters it's final climax.
It's manga, not comic.
I believe at least one of Oda's assistants has went on to do their own manga, so that isn't totally true. Even Toriyama had an assistant, and it was considered unusual that he didn't have more.
Elsewhere, in Japan...It's manga, not comic.
arguments aside, it's the best piece of fiction I've ever read.
come at me.
I should really get into one piece. Been told the anime isn't worth the watch and heard it hasn't finished and it's pretty long.
I tried the manga and got to Buggy the Clown then went, "this some bullshit" and gave up.
The anime is sooo worth the watch. Until you get to the timeskip imo.

why?
Buggy is awesome though!

Simple characters with cringey "I am going to be the pirate king" while spouting friendship and tops it off with murder.why?
i think the anime is worth, if you arent following it in weekly basis, just wait for it to have an arc completed and watch the arc

All over the place so I dropped it.
Wow just realized I haven't heard the name Asterix in a loong time.
It is still going?
What volume is the last?
It have them up to 40-something and I already stopped years ago.

Wtf does this even mean?Have you ever considered picking up an actual book that doesn't come with pictures?
Like I spend enough time in the one piece and Dragonball threads that shouldn't go throwing stones in glass house, etc, but come on.
Get to Water 7/Enies Lobby and then tell me it's not the best comic you've ever read.
I wish I was you. You're able to experience all this for the first time.
You are one arc away from Top 5 arc material in all of the manga, definitely should at least get that far!
the testing arc for onepiece is IMHo the arlong arc, which is the one after the one you stopped at
if that also feels like a slog to you, don't bother with the rest
I always laugh when people say the quality of One Piece has declined. The series has been consistently good since forever. Dressrosa and Cake Island are just as good as Water 7 and Marineford if not better. It's well-deserved for One Piece to reach this achievement. The fact that it's still so well-written after all this times is tear-worthy. Luffy is the king we need. I'm upset the anime isn't better

Not so sure about Superman. One Piece will most likely actually end in around 10 years or so.

He means light novels! What, like a dictionary?
Hey look, the entire gang from the One Piece OT is here.
Wtf does this even mean?
Are you saying that comics can't be the best works of fiction because they have pictures and aren't novels???
That's really dumb.
Damn I love me some Luffy LOL.
You are absolutely correct though, One Piece is ingrained in my life.
I could talk about it forever.
