Orioto art thread - New VG wall every thursday!

Bought the Kingdom Hearts and Pokemon Mewtwo prints as gifts!

INCREDIBLE work!

If that F-Zero one ever goes on sale as an art print, let me know!

Oh my goodness. A dream come true. I can't decide if I want this or your Tallon IV as a poster. New wallpaper here for sure - the snow is perfect for the holiday season.

I hate to be request guy #434355, but is there any chance you'll ever do Star Ocean 2? I know it's a pretty niche game, but is it on your radar at all?

Star Ocean 2, why not, i never did anything for that series.

Holy shit, I only just discovered this thread, and your work is incredible! I love that F-Zero Seagull piece, is it available in a print?

Not anymore! I may put it again for a 50 print as i do now, cause it was only there a limited time.

Just bought this one and the Ico one, I'll take a picture once I frame them and put them on my wall.

Thx, i'm looking forward the pics :)

I still have my Dark Souls and Kingdom Hearts prints in the redbubble container :(

Moving house in the new year so will frame and hang them then and I'll take some pictures!

Yeah, my FFX one is still in the container too. :( Need to buy a frame, but it seems like such a hit or miss thing D:

This one is finished,

Nights in dream is next (Christmas)

Damn. It looks so good.

Daaaaaaaayyyyyuuuuuuum

Hello Christmas wallpaper (farewell FFT)

Absolutely stunning work, I'll be buying both Donkey Kong prints very soon. There's a very beautiful dreamlike feel to them.

The Nights Christmas one is also incredible! Just magical.

It arrived in plenty of time for Christmas and my daughter loved it. She made me hang it right up in her room.

Aaaw :)

Thx guys, well i guess FFT has lovers! I'm happy to see there is a way outside of conventional stuff! I have to see what other obvious super cult games i didn't touch yet.

I'm not doing anything this week, (Not really taking a break as i'm working on personal stuff, as in original artwork for an eventual book someday, and the chihiro poster to), but i'll start the first 2016 one Thursday. I still have to choose. I want to find more grounds!

Also i'll release a zip with all my 2015 walls in it for the late to the party ones, tomorrow i think.

You are so talented it's crazy. I love literally every piece you've done but your Dark Souls and Tactics ones took my breath away. Stay awesome my friend! :)

Picture taken before I hung it up, but got a nice custom frame for this and it look gorgeous.

Also got a frame for the SMB3 fresco, which currently hangs over my bed.

I've been wanting to buy a piece for a while now. I absolutely love that fft scene, probably my all time favorite game.

Well that's also one of my fav games so i appreciate the love it gets! It'll be tough to find an other good scene for a second one in some months!

For next week i suddenly thought.. What about RE4 ?? It's a really special game after all. Now what scene.. I'll study that tomorow

Some scenes that come to mind for me when I think of RE4:

  • First time entering Salazar Castle
  • The Ending Scene where they (RE4 Spoiler --- >)
Drive off into the sunset on the boat
. IDK if you would want to draw a spoiler painting
  • The zombie-fied villagers chasing down and hunting Leon in the beginning of the game
  • Leon being overwhelmed by the two Gigantes in the mine/lava room (I have no idea what the area is actually called)

I am not the biggest RE4 fan, but when I think of the game, those scenes are what I think of. Or another idea is to do that famous first zombie scene from RE1 instead of something from RE4.

Just spit-balling ideas for you, hope it helps :P

If you do RE:4, my vote goes to the first time Leon gets access to the shotgun in the village at the beginning of the game.

Up until that point, I am always struggling with being swarmed by villagers and shooting with my pistol, I find an entrance to a backdoor of a small house, then BAM out of nowhere there's a shotgun on the wall at the top of the stairs and it's time to get serious about zombie killing.

That's the moment that sticks with me when I first played through it.

"Hey, it's that dog."

Or something with the village at the start of the game with the crowd coming for Leon.

Thx guys for the tips. i'm thinking of the villagers at the beginning yeah. I have to find what area in the village but i guess the center with the burning guy in the middle.

Just ordered the FFT piece. I cant wait to see it on my wall!

Hope you'll be happy with it :)

So should be something like that, with Leon holding the simple gun or the shot gun i'm not sure yet. Maybe it's more looking like he's in trouble if he's holding the gun.

Have you played either of the Xenoblade games? They're full of beautiful places that would make for fantastic artwork.

I should do something for the wii one pretty soon i think :)

Just wonderful.

That reminds me, I always thought FFT would make some incredible diorama or playset type toys but Square Enix has woefully undermerchandised this classic IMO.

Isometric games would be nice for that indeed!

Hopefully the $10 New User code from RedBubble doesn't eat into your profits too much. I finally finally placed an order for the Tallon IV piece. But then, after finishing the purchase it told me about a $10 code I could get for registering... Sooooo, I registered and bought a second piece (Reaching Hands).

I can't wait to get them in. Ordered as posters, as I feel these two pieces are just begging to be hung up. =)

Nice!

From what i see it doesn't change my margin, so everyone is happy :p

My friend wanted me to ask you Orioto:

"Will ever make a drawing surrounding Fallout, specifically Liberty Prime?"

I told him I would ask you even though you don't seem like the type of person who wants to draw stuff surrounding WRPGs.

I'm all open to new grounds lately. Believe me. I like the idea that i cover a large portion of the videogame world, and history. So yeah why not! I made a list of "cult" games that i could do actually, from different country, platforms.. i lack pc games, adventures games, western rpgs... I'll even do Monkey Island soon (ideas are welcome but i'm leaning toward the underwater scene or the one where he sells the ship)

Does these mean there is hope for my requests many moons ago for Alundra or Lunar SSSC artwork? I see that FFT piece and it is so bought. One of my favorite franchises that SE has no interest in bringing back in its original form :'(

Edit: Question for anyone with an answer; how do the metallic prints look? Are they mounted like the canvas pieces or would they need to be framed? I'd like a real world side-by-side, even of different works, just to see.

Thanks, I sent him your response. He seemed really excited that you would at least consider it

Is there any reason why you haven't really explored any of those genres?

Why not even if i know Lunar won't sell at all :p Alundra maybe more. Sony fans are generous!

Metallic prints have their own support to be hanged. I think on the product page you have a description of it.

I never played any of those. My culture of videogames is entirely console, and mostly Japanese. But i've showed myself i can perfectly work on universes i don't know and please fans so why not do it! It's really interesting to do.
