I do not really recommend it to watch just before you are going to get some sleep - at 1.27 AM. When you are all alone at home. With few lights.

Doing it at 1.42 AM. Jerked a bit as a close up scare hit me the same moment i switched it to fullscreen.

Looks great, but won't be able to play it.

e: Didn't like how eagerly they show off the enemies close up.. Penumbra
was a lot scarier before i failed, got my first beatdown and had a good look at one, here they force it on you

Only problem is that the monster design is not remotely scary. After I saw the monster it was pretty smooth sailing for the rest of the video.

looks good for a PSN game,

It should come to the PS3/360 as well though, I dont think that much of a downgrade would be needed.

Didn't think I was going to jump as much as I did in such a short amount of time lol. Had to stop watching after the 2nd scare to save me from any more spoilers. Going to be awesome!

This is really not very scary at all to me, if it's meant to be scary. They made the monster really obvious and forefront and had him come up and chuck you around pointlessly just to go YEAH HERES SOME ZOOM IN ISN'T THE MONSTER SCARY and everytime he's shown up its mega telegraphed.

At the end, when the MC reaches the exit, I thought '99 percent sure the nemesis ripoff is going to grab the MC here' and ta da, it happened.

I still think the most effective way for games to be scary is to have an endless sense of foreboding and dread, instead of jump scares (like the scene where the body flopped down). The most effective horror games often mess with your confidence - the best way to scare a player is to let him build his confidence and then take it away.

This isn't really an issue with "modern horror games" so much as an "issue with modern games" really. People today want big events, memorable scenes, stuff they can talk and tweet about etc

I can't remember. Do we know if they will be free for the first month of PS4 PS+ or part of the Instant Game Collection for PS4 or just what they plan to roll out for PS+ members on PS4 over a few months?

EDIT: never mind. finished reading the thread after watching the video and now know that some of them are 2014 games.

my understanding is Drive Club at launch then a new game each month - I assume those 3 in the first year.

I got scared watching this 11 minute clip on gametrailers.

There is no way I'm actually going to play this. Fuck that nonsense I already got enough stress in my life.

DriveClub + one other title at launch. DC will stick around for one full year, while the other title will get replaced with a new title every month.

Demonic game. Ill definately need customs soundtracks for this game. This music is too intense and will give me PTSD like Dead Space 2/3. The only thing that got me through those games was playing Jay z instead of the scary music yall.
