Server issues, stuttering and low production value. Is it the server issues that many been suffering from? Being kicked out of the game and can't get back?
Just give up and buy the game (or use gamepass)i've watched multiple streamers to see how the game progress was despite my feeling on the demo (and early game) and I'm more and more tempted because of the gameplay and build features (even if the DA is a big no for me)
Huh weird, im hearing its the second coming because its on rentpass? so which is it.....Refunded that on steam...it’s a pile of shit
The server problems are gonna fuck the score in the ass.
The game is great even with all his flaws.
Server problems are really annoying but i'm intelligent enough to separate technical problems from the intrinsic quality of the game.Yeah and it's really unfortunate. I'm loving it, but I've been really lucky with server issues. I've only been kicked once and was able to get back in after about 15 minutes. I think my good fortune with the servers contributes to my high opinion of the game. It's super fun. My only complaint with the always online requirement is QR doesn't work because of it.
I actually enjoyed the demo somewhat, but not enough to want to buy the game. I was going to wait until it came to Game Pass to play, so it was a great surprise when Xbox announced it would be on Game Pass day 1.
After playing the game, I feel the it would have been worth a buy if I hadn't gotten Day 1 for free. If I was into co-op I would buy it since it won't be on Game Pass forever, but I'm a very antisocial gamer and not vaguely interested in co-op.
How true is this, honestly? I deleted the demo after 30 minutes because the game played like literal ass. It gets that much better?Having a good time with it. Makes one of the worst first impressions I have ever seen. The first hour is straight trash and not like the rest of the game. Once you get into the classes and weapons theres some real depth. Like the World tiers system a lot.
The first hour makes it feel like a really bad gears clone but it's far more sci fi division than anything. It's not as smooth as gears in terms of controls but it's more than serviceable. How true is this, honestly? I deleted the demo after 30 minutes because the game played like literal ass. My main issues were the traversal being dog shit, a complete waste of a cover system, and 0 saticfaction from bullets hitting an enemy. Meaning hit markets, enemies stumbling, or them reacting in any real way. I’ve heard the cover system becomes more or less irrelevant but does hitting enemies and getting around ever become decent? The first hour makes it feel like a really bad gears clone but it's far more sci fi division than anything. The skills and weapons are fun. Enemy variety is good as it opens up as the games goes on. I'm having a good time with it.
I almost went out and got it. The demo was fun, but then I found out about the end game, which is disastrously bad because the game doesn't respect the time the player invests. The endgame consists of doing the same things over and over so you can do the exact same things again just with different numbers. There are no new mechanics, enemies, maps or any other content and the fact that Outriders looks like a cheap by-the-books last gen game and has the worst corridor levels in history of gaming didn't help either.

I find the hit reactions and stumbling better than in gears saga where you can unleash an entire magazine of lancer on a simple locust without almost any reaction whatsoever, gore is pretty similar in both games, you can literally cut in half a guy with a shotgun. My main issues were the traversal being dog shit, a complete waste of a cover system, and 0 saticfaction from bullets hitting an enemy. If you're looking for the weighted feel of like a gears it's not there. The contact is not dramatically different between weapons. The rifles can be satisfying but that really depends on your WT level. My main issues were the traversal being dog shit, a complete waste of a cover system, and 0 saticfaction from bullets hitting an enemy. when you talk about wheighted feel, do you mean the movements right? like outriders is more floaty\less precise than gears. If you're looking for the weighted feel of like a gears it's not there. In fact a lot of it depends on your WT level. You can make the game as hard or easy as you want. Higher WT levels the enemies can feel spongy but if you don't want that dropping the WT level makes them far less spongy.
Higher WT levels require you to use the cover to plan out your move. But enemies can and will flank you very easily making the cover useless. The mechanic of getting your health back by shooting pushes the game to use cover to regroup rather than make it a cover shooter This also depends on your class as well.
Both really.when you talk about wheighted feel, do you mean the movements right? like outriders is more floaty\less precise than gears.
or you were talking about hit reactions?!
Wild how we have completely different opinions about gears hit reactions\dead animations etc. Both really.
I feel like I'm gears when you get that breechshot or sawed off hit on the money you really feel it.Wild how we have completely different opinions about gears hit reactions\dead animations etc.
I'm more talking about hit reactions where the gore is not involved, like for me even remnant from the ashes has better hit reactions, stumbling, ragdoll etc, i don't know how to explain, gears enemies are too rigid for lack of better words.I feel like I'm gears when you get that breechshot or sawed off hit on the money you really feel it.
Here, it's still satisfying, but it lacks that "punch" for me.
I think Gears became better at reactions and stumbling but its still not great. I like the division 2 in regards to how they react when they get hit.I'm more talking about hit reactions where the gore is not involved, like for me even remnant from the ashes has better hit reactions, stumbling, ragdoll etc.
And tbh i never like liked the type of gore that gears utilize, enemies just explode in a meat pulp, i like far more the gore in something like tlou2 (like another universe for me)
yeah, i like division 2 hit reactions, but they are still mostly precanned.I think Gears became better at reactions and stumbling but its still not great. I like the division 2 in regards to how they react when they get hit.
The endgame is 15 different strike like maps. I'm quite enjoying it so far. Every looter shooter consists of repeated gameplay loops for better gear so it seems like the real issue you have is with the entire genre.
What did you expect? What is an example of end game that you are describing?
Why are you lying ? what do you expect ? not only you get maps / locations you didn't go to in the main campaign at end game, on top of that there actually are new bosses. This is a looter where the goal is to have the most capable build in order to do the challenging content by yourself, the grind is the point
yeah you're right, i'm now in !Just give up and buy the game (or use gamepass)
Ask what you want if you have some doubts.yeah you're right, i'm now in !
For the most part, you play in exactly the same maps that you already know. Just because the corridors or arenas have one or two different walls doesn't make it a different map.
Spoiler: regarding builds. The best builds for all classes are the builds which push max bullet damage. That's not very imaginative and, again, just bad design.
