This is wrong. You're welcome to your opinion, but it's certainly not universal. You are not the majority of Overwatch players. New players may get caught offguard by Bastion and Torbjorn, but they will get familiarized with common Torb turret posts and become wary of them, and they will learn how to deal with Bastion. You'll get better and you'll stop having so much trouble with them. They aren't the all powerful gods of the game you make them out to be.

The worst part about trying to counter Bastion is when you're the only person willing to swap out to counter him, but you're also the only person willing to play support since everyone insta-picked offense and you had to fill.
Sometimes you have to go get that perfect angle where you can plink away with your pistol at a single exposed bundle of pixels.

No big loss as I still have Valkyria Chronicles Remastered to contend with, but if the servers were live now instead of Monday night, I would been all over it like a rash here and now.

So. The struggle is real. I got 2 collectors editions booked. One for PC and PS4 and i just can't figure out which is the best option. I'll be getting kids soon anyway so it's not like i'll get to play either that much anyway but PS4 should have the advantage here (I got no problems with shooters on console mind you).
How many gaffers are getting it for ps4?
Do you reckon the fanbase will be healthy enough on console or die after 2 months?

Bastion is fine and easy to counter.
The turrets though...i don't like them. Why? Because they can't miss. They are AI. They lock on and have seemingly infinite range. That doesn't fit the nature of this game. Besides the ults, the game is based on skill shots. Placing the shot or area and then firing. Turrets snap back and forth and do not miss.
With that said, if that is the only thing in the game i can complain about when there are 21 heroes with multiple powers each i say Blizzard has done a damn fine job!

Well, Blizzard games usually have a HUGE life span. Their support is insane. I know I'll still have my PC in 5-6 years, and I'll probably still play Overwatch now and then. I don't know where my PS4 will be though.

My copy arrived for PS4 tody. Can't get any further than the title screen though. Locked out until May 23rd at 4pm (which is midnight on Tuesday morning here.)

Any other date than "Friday noon" would be 'lame' to you - and that would be the worst time to release a multiplayer only game, because fixing release day shit on a week-end would be hellish, as well as expensive.

It's not high enough. Not for a game that has serious e-sports aspirations. The game is pretty generous with hitboxes, so that's probably why you never felt cheated. Considering Battlefield runs higher and simulates a ton more projectiles, Overwatch really should explore it.

Low tickrate sonds bad, but if the servers are buckling from the playerbase it wouldn't matter anyways. I'd hazard a guess that played into their final decision.

It's a sticker, yeah. It's stuck to the plastic, so once you take it off, it's gone anyway. Not even stuck to the cover.
It's bad once you start getting above casual level, especially when you needed that 1 last bullet to hit or have that time bomb go down just as you die.
Instead if you hit outside the tick it won't happen. It's not got anything to do with the servers crumbling, as they already support 60 tick rate.

I do enjoy the idea that casuals are getting blown out by Bastion while playing squishy characters and then blame it on tickrate.
If only the tickrate was higher,I would have weaved through those 200 rounds like a ninja!

to be fair: if the moment comes, where you still wanna be playing overwatch, but you have retired your PS4, buying another copy on PC should be the least of your worries.
Buy it NOW where you want to play it NOW, where you have a friendslist NOW.
as soon as any of these 3 parameters change and you want to switch platform, buy it again.

im getting its on ps4. I just added 60+ people for neogaf and the facebook group im in. I think it will last a long while. but once it starts petering I will grab it for PC for sure.
