PS4 welcomes Nathan Drake to the next generation as ‘Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’ debuts at No1.

It’s both the first and final new adventure to arrive on PS4 for developer Naughty Dogs’ flagship series (although the remastered trilogy came to PS4 in October last year). In terms of debut week sales ‘Uncharted 4’ is by far the most successful launch in the series beating ‘Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception debut week by 66%. It marks an excellent few weeks for Sony with their platform exclusives (Ratchet & Clank (-50% now at No4 being the other) taking the crown in 3 of the last 4 weeks. Bethesda Softworks ‘Doom’ also arrives this week comfortably making its debut at No2. It’s the first outing on PS4 and Xbox One for the series and another strong debut with sales up 67% on Doom 3. ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops III’ (-46%) makes way for the new releases dropping a place to No3. A pair of former chart topping titles in Ubisoft’s ‘Tom Clancy’s: The Division’ (-32%) and ‘Far Cry Primal’ (-33%) sit at No5 and No6 respectively. Strong sales for ‘Star Wars Battlefront’ (+28%) ensure it climbs back in to the Top 10 at No10 after a two week absence.

Congrats, Sony. They’ve been absolutely killing it this year. It’ll only get better from here on out.

First week Bigger exclusives for all 3.

[PS4] UNCHARTED 4: A THIEF'S END - 192,000

The question is, with combined formats, did Uncharted outsell DOOM?

Also, props for DOOM PC in the physical chart, haha.

So what's Sony's next big retail release, first-party wise? U4 will rake it in obviously, but looking to the future there appears to be a bit of a void in their release schedule.

I'm looking at the Battleborn numbers. Shocker for 2K. Makes their launch of Evolve look quite solid and we know how that panned out

Can you tell us its second week drop percentage? The game totally collapsed going by placements.

By the way, I didn't post last week the platform split.

[Week 18, 2016] BATTLEBORN (TAKE 2)

PlayStation 4 (52%)
Xbox One (45%)
PC (3%)

Would No Man's Sky count? They've been saying they're treating it as first party

"No Man's Sky has been treated as if it was from one of our internal studios," Sony UK managing director Fergal Gara told MCV. "We have been working very closely with the developers and bringing it into our release program as if we had made it."

It's very uncertain, I would guess Gran Turismo, Last Guardian, Horizon in the fall?

Watch all of them being 2017 titles.

GT:Sport. most of the first party games with hype dont have dates yet like Horizon.

Its not first party but No Man Sky looks like it could be big for them next month.

Am I wrong in thinking that Ratchet & Clank is holding quite well? At least, the fourth position is surely the best one it could possibly have this week.

Gran Turismo could be a October or December release. TLG is a Jolly but i think it will be a 2016 title. As always they will rely on third party deals this holiday , especially in USA ( Cod and maybe something else ).

Yeah that sounds accurate. Maybe something that's ready for the fall will be announced at E3, like a LittleBigPlanet 3 situation.

Probably just TLG and GT Sport for this year.

And they will probably have some stuff for PS VR's launch but I expect that to be more mini game collections and "VR Experiences" then full games

[Week 19, 2016] DOOM (BETHESDA SOFTWORKS) < 75,000 / NEW

PlayStation 4 (56%)
Xbox One (38%)
PC (5%)
************
Going into this gen, I would not have pegged Bethesda to turn out to be a better partner for MS than even EA. Like FO4, Doom will likely skew towards XBo when you include the bundles.

Yeah Doom I think. I figure they see RISE as a bad call and will focus more on shooters for the moment for deals.

It's close to being "tales from my ass" but I get impression that these deals only seem to work for PAL market for shooters. Similar deals for RPGs etc never seem to affect the split but for shooters they can still help MS
^^^ Guess we were wrong.

Bethesda curse broken?

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
I'd also like to know the split between Doom's different SKUs.

[Week 19, 2016] DOOM (BETHESDA SOFTWORKS) < 75,000 / NEW (less than Wolfenstein: The New Order)

PlayStation 4 (56%)
Xbox One (38%)
PC (5%)

Note: 75,000 is just the upper limit based on Doom having a worse debut than Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Surprise Doom sold more on the PS4.

Mulitplats sell more on PS4 (couple of exceptions) if it sold more on Xbox One it would have been a shock. I would guess U4 release will have made the DOOM split closer than most multiplats.

Edit: Thanks Bruno MB, still quite a big DOOM split even with U4 release.

No Mans Sky... kinda.

Would No Man's Sky count? They've been saying they're treating it as first party

Eh, that's a bit of a stretch. No doubt the game will sell big, especially for an indie title, but it isn't strictly a first-party release.

It's very uncertain, I would guess Gran Turismo, Last Guardian, Horizon in the fall?

The Last Guardian or Gran Turismo Sport. This is assuming Horizon Zero Dawn is delayed to 2017.

GT:Sport. most of the first party games with hype dont have dates yet like Horizon.

Its not first party but No Man Sky looks like it could be big for them next month.

These answers have me convinced that Sony's next big game is a loooong ways away potentially. Horizon is dropping in 2017 for sure. GT Sport? Given long how those games take to be made, a 2016 release is unlikely, but we'll see. There is that event coming up in three days time after all. Fingers crossed for TLG not being delayed to next year.

When ever ND releases another game. besides maybe gt noting comes close to ND releases.

Jesus, in a week where PS4 owners had Uncharted 4 to buy, they still went out and brought more copies of Doom then Xbox owners who've had nothing since QB.

Really surprising.

I'm glad Doom didn't flop even though I haven't picked it up yet.

Then again, Rage did close to 2 million overall right and basically killed old id so who knows what expectations are!

Damn at that Dark Souls III's charting difference between PS4 and One.
