PAL Charts - Week 33, 2012

Apart from the third party requirement that's true for those titles :P

Mario running and jumping and Mario driving. Mario needs a double tap to the back of the head, what a creative wasteland.

Seeming it was a bank holiday, are we expecting the list to appear around the same time they usually do on Mondays?

Not surprised by Mario's rankings for 2nd week of some countries.

Square Enix hold on to a 2nd week at No1 with United Front Games’ ‘Sleeping Dogs’ (-15%). New at No2 is THQ’s ‘Darksiders 2’ which does considerably better than the original Darksiders with 80% more units sold in week 1. Original Darksiders launched week 1, 2010 and was also developed by Vigil Games, a THQ studio. Nintendo’s 3DS ‘New Super Mario Bros 2’ (-25%) drops from a debut position of No2 to No3 this week and Sega drop one place to No4 with ‘London 2012: The Official Videogame’ (-31%) which has not been out of the Top 5 yet. A No4 position for ‘London 2012’ is a joint lowest chart placing for this title, shared with week 1 (week 26, 2012). The only other new entry this week is Activision Blizzard’s ‘Transformers: Fall of Cybertron’ at No5, which is the direct sequel to ‘Transformers: War for Cybertron’ released back in week 25, 2010, both games predominantly developed by High Moon Studios, an Activision studio.

Dropping just 15% is awesome for Sleeping Dogs. Good Mario, and pretty good DarkSiders. SM3D Land seems starting falling now. And now, let's wait for the Individual SKU chart.

EDIT: And here's the individual chart.

Sleeping Dogs is the sleeper hit of this year.

Darksiders II almost doubling the sales of its predecessor is hardly impressive since the first game was a slow-burner, hence it had a modest launch. I'm afraid there won't be a future Darksiders III since there is no way it will sell what THQ is hoping for.

Great to see Sleeping Dogs selling well. Was worried that it wouldn't sell because of having an all asian cast, wouldn't be surprise if that was the reason why Activision dropped it. Anyways looks like a new IP franchise for Squre-enix is born.

Picked up Sleeping Dogs on Saturday after hearing the good reception on podcasts. Finished it by Monday, such a good game.

Really glad it's selling well, 15% drop off is exceptional and shows that word of mouth is creating sales, as it did with me.

15% drop for Sleeping Dogs? Wow! Is that a new record? And concidering it had the 5th biggest opening week in 2012, this is an amazing hold (maybe not that many huge sellers in 2012, but still). I've been playing the games for the last 2-3 days, great game, deserves the sales in my opinion.

Mario having a 25% drop from last week means its just hit 100,000 mark. Pretty good for the UK market. Glad that Sleeping Dogs is doing well, playing that recently at a friend's house.
