I interacted with him a few times around '99-2000 when I was employed at Crave Entertainment. He was working with a web browser 3d engine gaming company called Wild Tangent (or something like that, I apologize if I get the details wrong), but as a HUGE iD fan i was super excited to meet him. He didn't disappoint. When he came to the office he was mega buff with a smoking hot girl on his arm and during the meetings conveyed himself as a super fun, charismatic guy. Fearless and passionate in a room full of stuffy suits. A true industry icon. RIP Paul. :-(

Not sure, but based on the info that he started working with games in 1991 and that he didnt touch a mouse before he was 27 years old, i think he was somewhere around 50 years old.
