Well, got screwed on my paycheck. That about settles it, which sucks.
Expo hall remains mostly the same for all 3 days. It's hard to saw what you're going to miss with panels (won't be announced until like a month before so). You're definitely going to miss out on the Omegathon final round, if you're looking for that.
Awesome thanks, I think the only panel we really want to go to is the giantbomb one. I think we also will only check out games we are interested in etc, and will pass on games we know we will play/enjoy on the floor.
Also anyone stay at the sheraton last year? Planning to share 1 room with 2 beds between 4 people just to save some money, do they say anything when people do that ?
The Scalpers are getting $200/pass![]()
Badges don't have names on them to associate them with a particular person, and counterfeiting is different from scalping. Is it confirmed that badges are transferrable? The PAX organizers promised to do something about counterfeits but didn't give details.
I dont think names are on them. They should have some security measure though. Is it confirmed that badges are transferrable? The PAX organizers promised to do something about counterfeits but didn't give details.

Counterfeits and scalping valid tickets are two different things. The issue with counterfeits is they ended up going over the Fire capacity of the convention center which is a safety issue. I'm sure the steps they take to prevent that will work, but they will do nothing to stop scalping.
In 2010 I sold an extra pass I had (because my friend couldn't make it) to a fellow GAFfer in person in Seattle at cost with no issue.Certain anti-counterfeiting measures (like stamping names onto badges) would also block resale.
I only ask because I may have to sell my badge due to the hike in airfare + cheap hotels already booked to capacity.

They only way they could do that would be if they asked for the names of every person attending at time of purchase and that doesn't happen.
Well it just becomes harder? I got into blizzcon on a badge with a different name.I have a few IRL friends who live in the area who are good candidates to buy my pass, I just need to make sure I can actually sell it to them this year, hence the question as to the extent of 2012's anti-counterfeit technology. I guess I could tweet official_pax and get word.
Ah good. I only bought one pass so I didn't know this. I know BlizzCon gets the name of everyone.

Well at blizzcon convention you have 1 person with the name pick up the tickets. So 1 person to pick up for tickets but they would have to be there in person.I'm new to the world of con badge resale. Just getting my ducks in a row so I don't inadvertently commit someone else to a PAX trip and find out I suck and can't deliver the goods properly.
Sunday badges now sold out too
Haha wow. So less than a full 24 hours and everything is gone? This makes me really depressed that I may not get a chance to go to PAX again since these tickets are sold during work hours.
I am getting really concerned about this upcoming PAX East.![]()
This past PAX East took weeks to sell out. Admittedly it was during Easter weekend, which probably depressed sales, but it seemed to sell slower. I think it's larger, too, which helps.
Don't quote me on this, but East didn't sell out this year until maybe the day off. I believe they had Sunday badges available at the door this year. Easter was pretty quiet on the showfloor too
By sell out, I mean the 3-days and Friday and Saturday. I don't believe Sunday ever did sell out, or did it?
PAXForum said:I would like to state for the record that the Worst Registration System ever, in my opinion, still goes to NeoGAF. If you've ever tried signing up there, please keep them in mind before posting an opinion on this year's PAX Prime's ticket sales
Well it's a combination of a lot of things:I don't believe it did. Or, at the very least, I never saw an announcement of it. I believe at some point on during Fri/Sat of East they said they still had badges for sale for Sunday on-site. Guessing no one was turned away.
They're losing their mainstream appeal with how fast this shit is selling out -- especially to those with jobs during the day.
The scalping this year is going to be absolutely insane. Something has to be done.

Well, so did last PAX Prime.![]()

Yeah, I am getting next years PAX East 3 day the second it is available.
Allow me to laugh unreasonably.
LIGHT BULB! They should just book the BCEC again and have another PAX East in Boston at the same time as PAX Prime in Seattle. West coast and east coast together, simulcast concerts and panels between the two via satellite feed.
Why. I was going to anyway.

Invite ACAM back again!
PAX was way overly crowded last year, worried about this year given this
I doubt there will be more people. I think they kinda capped on that a few years ago. They might arrange things differently, space things out more, if anything.
Max Payne 3 and Borderlands 2 were pretty nice to get some hands on and talk to a PR/dev person.Hope not to go too far off topic, but I still don't understand why people wait in the lines to try the AAA demos at PAX. There's so many better experiences within minutes yet people spend hours waiting in line for something they'll play in a couple months.
