PC gamers get to learn that the 360 controller is better.

Waaaaay better. Feels better in the hand, analog stick tension isn't super loose, bumpers are better and can be pushed regardless of where your finger sits, etc. The only thing the One controller has on the 360 one is the dpad.

If you use a USB cable, data is sent via USB. There's no difference anymore.

You can use a normal micro usb cable.

Time to get a Xbox One controller then. Thanks.

FYI, I just tried plugging in the Xbox One Headset to the controller and it does not work on PC. It is not detected at all and the mute light doesn't even turn on. Hopefully they patch this in later.

How much better is the dpad? That would be my only reason to dump my 360 pad. That useless thing wasnt even good enough for changing weapons in dark souls. It would be nice not to have to dig out and configure my saturn pad for 2D games.

It's the best controller right now but the dpad is still terrible for fighting games. Perfect for what you described though.

Yep, Sony and Microsoft both made the wise choice of making their new controllers able to communicate and charge over standard micro-USB.

It wasn't a bad port in terms of functionality, but the mod support was super nerfed and they never acknowledged it via site states, unlocks, or Halo Waypoint

No, the 360 pad is STILL the recommended PC controller.
