PC Drivers for Xbox One controller are out.

YYEEEEEESS!!

I've had this Titanfall Xbox One controller sitting on my disk for months now, purely for my PC.

Thank you, Jebus!

Thats crazy, do they feel like they're working as good as they would in a game programed for the rumble triggers?

Not quite, they definitely feel a bit more "360-ish" compared to a Forza 5 rumble. To be fair though, these are older games that weren't designed with rumble triggers in mind. Newer games should be able to take advantage of them.

My Xbox one and my PC ar ein the same room, if I connect my Xbone gamepad to my PC via micro USB, will it stop sending signals to my xbone? Otherwise, that's not going to work for me since the console is always on doing home theater stuff.

Can we not download the drivers yet? Every time I try to I get a message that it ended prematurely.

Try using the other version.

I downloaded the x86 initially and that didn't work. x64 works fine, been playing some Far Cry 3. It's great to just sit back and relax...

Yes, I think.

Connecting a wire supposedly disables the wireless connection so it should be fine.

Nice. Still need to give the DS4 a test out to decide what I want to use

While it's definitely awesome to get official Xbox One controller support on PC, I doubt I'll personally go out and buy one just for PC gaming. I've got a bunch of 360 controllers that work as well as the wireless dongle.

I plugged it into the computer, played for a few minutes then unplugged it. After that, wirelessly turned it on and while it took a tad longer to connect, it connected back to the Xbone.

I imagine any upcoming game that's getting a release on both X1 and PC will support it, namely something like Project CARS.

It seems to be working across everything with no issues so I would have to believe it took them awhile to get the drivers setup in a way that naturally fit the current xinput games but allowed for new games to take advantage of the rumble triggers and what not. I'm no driver programmer so I couldn't tell you how difficult that might be.

I see.

Guess it's just usual programming stuff.

I do not have a XB1... is there a wired version of the controller?

If it's wireless, how do I get it to work with my PC?

Wasn't working right till I realized the batteries had to be out. I really prefer this controller now after having spent so much time with it over the last few months.

Now to wait for a wireless version, hate to be harsh but it really is useless if it HAS to be wired to your pc.

It's far from useless. A good number of people I know who play with gamepads on PC have the wired version of the 360 pad and prefer it that way.

Yep, you're right, got them confused. No rumble in SSF4 steam edition.

Sonic Racing Transformed however....lawd!

Best rumble reaction yet, nice and strong.
So wait there are actually games already released that use the rumble triggers?

Monoprice has solid prices on extra long USB cables for those that need them

I don't own a next-gen system yet, but
is the Xone controller better than the 360 one (trigger sensitivity, etc ..) ?

I haven't personally used the XBO controller, but I believe both the DS4 and XBO controllers are considered upgrades over the 360 pad.

Choose which one feels better to you ergonomically.

Personally I wouldn't buy one if you already have a working 360 controller. Keep in mind, is say the same thing in regards to the ps4 controller.

All the controllers are wireless but can connect to pc (and the xbox one) via micro usb to usb cables. Also, when connected through usb all inputs are sent through the usb cable, not wirelessly.

Sold, and just as I get sent a Crimsonland review code. Sweet, though now I feel obligated to buy a new controller so I don't "overuse" my Day One pad.
