Any tips/things I should know before jumping into my first Persona game? I've been told to "not stress & don't try to do everything all at once", but past that I'm totally clueless.

You should save when you reach a save room.

Pay attention what Morgana says, it will make your life easier.

But why? Did you do the slots already for the 50.000? You need 5000 coins for that. Not 10.000. The 10.000 are for the 100.000 battle arena in the next area where you also get 10.000 for playing another game.

I did and I also did the dark casino. But then after getting that 10.000 I bought 3 items from the vendor. Now I have 9.600 and can't proceed because I need 10k. After 1 hour I still have not earned 400 from the dice game or slot machines which just shows that Atlus screwed up for this being even possible in the first place.

I have an easier solution that only takes about a hour to get to max level from the starting point (No plot spoilers, you have to be in November):

When it's flu season get to Mementos. Wait on a floor for 5 minutes.
Fight the Reaper. When he has despair on him cause of the flu season, then just guard 3 turns and after that get massive XP. Repeat for cheap grinding.

Yeah I already know that and have done it in my first playthrough, this is in case someone wants to do it earlier. You can just leave it on while sleeping for example, it doesn't require you to pay attention to the game

1) either accept using a spoiler free guide or accept playig the game twice if you want to see all the story stuff in one play through

2) exploit knocking enemies down with weaknesses for hold ups, it helps to conserve hp/sp for dungeons

3) if you can get as far as you can get in a dungeon in a single night, the less time you spend in dungeons the more time you can spend with social links

4) always bring a persona with the matching arcana to social links to make their slink level go up faster

5) look up the personality quirks of the shadows so you know what the best answers are for recruitment. Also before finishing a dungeon make sure you've gotten all the persona you can since once you finish a main dungeon you lose access to it

How can I make reaper respawn again? I haven't seen the reaper at all, so I'm pretty ignorant on the matter. does he also give alot of money?

Just change the floor. Doesn't give a lot of money. There are better tricks for that.

Wow okay. Never heard of that till now.
Are there even enough items to buy to not have enough coins? I thought I bought everything but doesn't seem so.

my main problem with dungeon 5 is unskippable animations. the puzzle wasn't actually that bad once i sat down with a pen and paper and worked out what the logic was

You don't even
have to find them cause they are handed to you for the coins which are obviously easy to get imo. It's just taking down room after room and following the story for the coins. It's no different from all the other Palaces in that you have to just clear every room up. :)
Coins? I'm talking about the Big Bang burger palace
Did I get the palace number wrong 🤔
Starts counting...

I strongly advice you check the perks on the confidants and go after the one you want because a lot of quality of life stuff are behind perks.
And do asap palaces because story will restrain you a lot.

This is really the key. It's easy to fall into the mindset that every time period needs to be perfect. Especially going through these threads where people are min/maxing. There's plenty of content behind parts of the game that are considered a waste of time from an efficiency point of view. So just take the game in and do what you think is interesting.

Post 11/20 spoilers

I really hope they make Robin Hood available to use in P5 Crimson or something like Magatsu Izanagi because ugh that design is soo wasted. I love him.

10/26 plot hole?

If Akechi became a Persona user in September and gained the ability to enter the Metaverse in summer, how could he listen to Morgana's voice when you first meet him in Spring? Something's fishy

After buying all items my coin count is 9600 for some reason and not 10200 like it should be making getting through impossible.
Actually now that I think about it, nothing is wrong. You need 5000 for the slot machine that gives you 50,000.

You need 10,000 for the next area which you get from a section automatically which will bring your total up to 10k something.

This is problem with answering this sort of stuff is that by answering even vaguely you sort of confirm that it is a thing and that leads to people connecting dots.

Really no way to properly answer the question.

(November)
I tried doing the reaper despair trick, but to no luck. I've done several floors of waiting on a flu day, and he hasn't spawned with despair for me. I feel bad for wasting a calendar day in Mementos without gaining anything important.

Late to the party conversation, but mine is currently:

Makoto - Yusuke - Ryuji

Morgana can sit out simply because of the annoying animation when he gets KO'd.

Are you fucking serious with that method? o_O A
very powerful personification of death are killed because he is despairing from flu???

I'm still fairly early in the game, I'm working on palace 2 right now. Question!!

So when I meet up with one of my pals and it says "I don't think my bond with so-and-so will deepen yet." does that mean I have to hang out with them a couple of times more or has it something to do with the strength of the corresponding Persona or something? Meaning, hanging out with him at that point would be a waste of time?

And speaking of, once I unlocked a confidant, do I always need to carry a Persona of his or her type do start those events, or is it enough to have them registered?

Another question!!

Is there a way to see how many times I still need to work on my stats (Guts, Knowledge, etc.) for them to level up? That would make it easier to plan ahead.

Can someone post in spoiler text what was so bad about palace 5 again? Because I honestly don't remember what was bad about it. I think that was one of the few palaces I managed to finish in a single day, unless
I'm forgetting a part where you're forced to leave.

The music is repetitive and the visual aesthetic of the place is boring. The Special activities are not very fun either.

It's called
Price

If you mean this one , that's not the music in the vault.

I think that plays in the bank, right? When you enter the vault (big door behind with the two key cards) the music shifts entirely to a much more moody track.

There's two versions of
Price
though. The one in the second half of the dungeon is
Price ~another version~
.

That's the one, thanks!

So good!

I'm only about an hour into the game. Igor's new voice is really going to take some time to get used to. What do people here think about his new VA? I....don't really care for it at the moment, but maybe it'll grow on me as I get further into the game.

I watched some P4 videos recently (never done so before), and the old VA is nowhere near as good to me. I think it might be a case of nostalgia/attachment?

The new one fits the atmosphere of the Velvet Room so much better, imo.
