I don't think that he deserves all this hate. He seems to be a nice guy and his points in the video are quite logical.
Nevertheless I don't think that anybody on this planet deserves >7 millions a year. Not speaking of a jelly standpoint here (ofc everybody would be happy to not have to worry about the rent and so on). It's just a disproportionate amount of money to earn considering the fact that there are nurses, teachers, factory workers, etc. working so much and getting nearly nothing (sometimes not even enough to pay rents, feed all the family, etc.). Personally, I'm not against the fact that some people should have higher wages because of the work they're doing, but at one point it just got out of hand. When actors, entertainers, politicians, etc. earn millions and billions a year and others struggle to get more than 20 000 then there is something inherently wrong with this. We are all contributing to the society in one way or another. The factory worker may produce something which you use in your everyday life (smartphone, car, what ever), teachers have a big impact on children, their education, their social development and actors and entertainers are also needed for ones amusement. Some might be more important some less but all of them are important for our society. There is no way to justify such disproportionate wages. But meh, that's so tl;dr.
I guess that the debate is centred around a false argument namely that pewdiepie's videos are bad and that he's not deserving the money for "screaming at his webcam". Content is always debatable but it seems like millions of people enjoy watching his videos and therefore I don't get the hate considering that point. We have to accept that some people get money for stuff we personally don't like/ do like. However the one question still remains: is it necessary that the differences between wages have to be so disproportionate?
