Physical as much as I can. I like to collect games, always have, and probably always will. Digital is just not the same as having a boxed copy. This goes for movies too. It's only music I'm all digital.

I'm digital. But I'm about to grab this Ratchet & Clank physical if it continues to never go on sale. 🙄

Digital

becos of C19 , digital is more cost saving for me and shipping overseas to my place is expensive and for some games i will wait for a digital sale for 50% or more
some older games or remastered games which a $70 price tag are reduced to $10
i do have some PS4 physical games that i bought in the past but most likely i will get a disc drive ps5 in 2023 or later

Digital on Xbox and PS.

Some digital on Switch (Smash, MK, BotW, Odyssey, Splatoon, indies) - all else physical.

Digital all the way. Haven't bought a disc in last 10 yrs.

Will buy physical if they offer some incentive like printed manuals, cardboard/steel boxes, artbooks etc.

Plain Jane plastic boxes don't do it for me. Feels cheap/ down market. At least with digital you don't have that issue.

Last digital game I bought was death stranding at release. Maintaining a digital library is much more convenient. And going forward digital will be better supported for back compat.

If there is a physical release I will get it. If it's digital only, then digital. If it's a digital game that eventually gets a physical release and I like it, I will buy both.

Always physical.

If the prices are identical, physical. I only buy digital if there is no physical release or the physical release is more than $5 more expensive.

Digital for games, as there is zero difference between physical and digital, while I'm physical for films as there is a massive difference.

I have been all digital since xbox one launch, and don't regret it one bit

I got some physicals because of collectors editions, or because I got some for 1 euro each from gamestop.

Always digital.
But I preordered physical Stalker 2 ultimate edition because I still have a heart.

Physical if possible. Buy the game. Play the game. Sell the game on eBay or elsewhere. Rather than paying $60 to $70, I end up paying $20 to $30.

Physical for big releases, because:

Cheaper (PS Store prices are insane in Sweden)
I can borrow and lend games
I can resell games
I like having a physical collection (I still buy music in physical format too)

I like to have physical games (if available) for titles that are (to me) all-time classics - just a sort of keepsake for special gaming experiences, my own curated "gaming hall of fame".

Otherwise, I'm perfectly content with digital.

Physical when I can. But will buy digital titles when on sale.

Last non-multiplayer or non-indie game I bought digitally at full price was NFS Heat and that's because I bought it on for PC.

As for other media...

Music I don't buy, and instead subscribe to music streaming services.

Movies I don't buy much unless it's a film I really enjoy. 4k Blu-Rays are pretty pricey, but worth it for some favorites.

Always physical for new games. ALWAYS. Unless the game is banned in the region so I buy it from a different PSN account digitally.

I really think I'm going to do a hybrid approach going forward after reading everyone's responses. Digital is much more convenient, easy to manage, but there may be those games I want physically for a special release or I want to get signed.

A friend had a break in and they stole nearly all his games--this also has leaning more towards digital.
