I've been blogging for about 12 years. Unfortunately, my shitty organisation with moving servers has meant that I've lost a fair chunk of my writing over the years.

Still, if you have a passing interesting in reading my thoughts on movies, games, television shows, whisky and restaurants, please check out:

OMEGA-LEVEL

Everything nerd, comics, games, movies, books, TV, and more. I write a weekly feature on there, and the occasional other story or review. The blog belongs to a good friend (Caffeine-Powered, on the site) who basically has the greatest, most energized and insane blog-writing style in small doses I've ever read in my life. Kid's enthusiasm for all the subject matter is as palpable as the vein throbbing with over-caffeinated stimulation in his neck. I'm pretty sure his heart's exploded twice already.

Atypical highlights compared to most nerd/pop-culture blogs out there, in addition to the usual news bits on comics/games/popculture:

• A weekly beer review, with a new brew featured every Friday
• A daily (or every-other-daily) dose of incredible shots of cosmic phenomena and space in general with hilarious commentary (space is a second-love and weakness of my friend, and he finds incredible photos)
• Original writing (short stories, novella, and now a comic book) from another major site contributor, Rendar Frankenstein.

My contributions so far:

Weekly recaps/analyses/essays on Game of Thrones, which have been met with some decent reception! (thanks GoT GAF!)
http://www.omega-level.net/category/this-week-on-game-of-thrones/

My Avengers analysis/review (which has likewise, been happily received for being just plain different from the usual blasé 'professional' reviews laced with spoilers you'd rather not read. I think I managed to skirt and avoid that danger pretty well!)

Two pieces I did way back, one on the Toronto FanExpo Convention experience, and one on the reveal of Mists of Pandaria. I have press beta access to the expansion and will be doing a roundup feature soon designed for 'normal' players; for everyone who won't be reading MMO-Champion's daily updates and notes and needs someone to make sense of all that crap and distill the real meat of the changes for them. A 'why will this expansion matter to me?' kind of piece.

Other things are planned too, including a feature celebrating the Midnight Movie phenomenon, and interviews with hubs of gaming culture in Toronto, like vintage gaming stores, board game café owners (Snakes & Lattés) and more. Striving to do very unusual interviews with questions all the usual press doesn't bother asking.

PIMPING ACHIEVED

My tumblr. I don't reblog.

http://saturnales.tumblr.com/

It's bilingual if you don't mind. Some quotes, some music, some pictures i took myself.

I've been wanting to start a blog and a lot of people have said I should.

Basically I wanted it to be about cheap travelling. I help my friends and myself with "travel hacking" quite a bit and I never really documented it.

So I would like to start a place that
1. shows good budget travelling tips and how to's
and
2. shows my travels and what/where I've gone.

it would be more focused on #1 but I want to include some of #2 on it as well.

I guess now the question is. What should I call it? :)
I have never really been good with coming up with names. Anyone have any ideas?

I realize the posts in here just disappear into the ether, but... It's a new episode of Josh and Jay's Excellent Video Game Show...

Episode 21: Daenerys Targaryen-Sagittarius

Special guest Rowan Kaiser (The A.V. Club, Joystiq, Press Play) joins us this week to discuss Game of Thrones, the Mass Effect trilogy, play a game of Either/Or and help us review a few listener submitted game-name ideas in a round of Title Screen. Plus, Josh spits some rhymes, Jay builds a castle in Minecraft and so much more!

Episode 25: Retrosexual

Special guest Josh Drake (Pillow Storm co-host on KRCB-FM) joins us this week for a nostalgia-fest of gaming as we discuss the Nintendo Entertainment System. Our guest also hips us to some brand-new NES games, takes the hot seat in a very retro round of Either/Or, and we all reminisce about some unsung NES heroes. Plus, Skyrim!

can any HTML/CSS/Javascript gurus help me out?

I do the web design for my friend's blog:

www.thesummer123.com

Is there a fairly easy way to integrate comments onto each day's update (each colored block is a new day)? Last year I used Disqus, but AFAIK I had to make a new page for each post and the comments would be on that page you clicked thru to.

I'm wondering if there's a way to just integrate a comment box at the bottom of each post?

I could easily help you if you where using a framework, like .Net.

What are you using now? I'm assuming there is a database that is storing the comments.

So I finally started doing something with mine:

www.jvavrik.com

Probably a lot of programming stuff, some metal, some videogames, etc.

I also bought www.metalverse.com to start a metal blog. Seeing as how it took my personal blog like 3 years to get going no idea how long it will take for metalverse to get off the ground haha.

New episode of my gaming podcast, Josh and Jay's Excellent Video Game Show.

Episode 26: The Mass Effexpert

Special guest Rowan Kaiser (The A.V. Club, Joystiq, Press Play) joins us this week to discuss cat gifs, the best best gifs, cute cat gifs, cute kitten gifs, cats, the Mass Effect 3 extended cut, Spelunky, ICO, and KOTOR II. We also play a round of Title Screen, puzzle over Obsidian’s uneven track record, and ponder why we’re just not that into Dawnguard.

It's a very Tony Hawk edition of Josh and Jay's Excellent Video Game Show.

Episode 28: The Dark Knight Bluntslides

This week we drop in on the nostalgia bomb that is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD. Jay grinds his way through career mode as Batman, Josh learns how to manual, and both of us try to sleep but lose count of sheep. Plus Dungeon Village, Listener Questions, Steam Summer Sale and more!

I have made two new sites!

Good At Computers is for funny / weird stories about getting suckered into fixing other people's "computer problems".

Games Room Stuff is chronicling the building of my dedicated games room in the backyard, AND ALL THE COOL GAME RELATED TOYS I WANT TO FILL IT WITH. :)

Enjoy!

Would post mine but it tends to be a bit....pornographic (ok more than a bit) and homoerotic.

On the bright side it still gets 10k + pageviews a day so lol.

I've just started a new blog yesterday. I had an old one only people of another forum I visited knew about, but I'll try to make this one a bit more well-known. It's going to be mainly about gaming, but I'll share my opinions on other things too. I'm planning to add a new post daily.

http://foshygaming.blogspot.com/

Oh, and I'd like some feedback on my writing style, too. English is actually my third language, I mainly speak Italian and German.

I'm usually an avoider of self promotional type bollocks but I figured I'd link to irreverently shit site.

Small Vices

It's a daily updated blog/website thing that parodies television listings, although to be fair most of the films and tv shows should exist in real life. It's largely crass and pathetic.
