I've actually had this blog since I was 17 (~8years). But the first few years of it I archived and deleted because you know, teen angst, etc. it was great and I'm glad I had it, but since I rebooted it in 2009 it's exclusively photos. Yup.
http://networkednetworks.blogspot.com/

I typically only link people I know IRL to it, but since I've quit twitter this is now my only "social" net activity besides gaf so I'm happy to have y'all judge my life, idk. Yeah. I'm usually not as active with it as I have been lately, just been doing a lot. I love this time of year and have just been really happy lately.

A few weeks ago, I started a post about the history of the crazy theories that fans put forward to explain the Zelda timeline over the years. It was originally going to be one post, but halfway through writing, it became amply clear that wasn't going to be enough, so I split it in two.

I'm now in the process of writing part 3 with no end in sight. This is going to end up being the dorkiest thing I've ever written. And believe me, I am a man who has written some pretty dorky things.

Me and my friend do a blog together. We cover Games (me), Music (him) and TV (both of us). I am planning on adding some sports stuff too. It is called The Whiteboard and it is here on Wordpress:

http://thewhiteboarddoodles.wordpress.com

We started it a while back but then kind of stopped, but got it going again and it is going alright now I think. Anyone wants to check it out, I'd appreciate it.

Also if any fellow wordpressers have blogs let me know and I will keep an eye on them and try and comment. Going to go back through the thread a bit and see what I can find.

A blog on some of my favourite movies.

http://rahuljx.blogspot.com

I started it fairly recently with the intention of sparking an interest for foreign films atleast among the people I know, but hopefully it serves as a good starting point for others as well.

Ekostories #28: Solitary Man - Alone in the Wilderness with Dick Proenneke.

Don't worry. I'm going to be writing a couple of pieces of Wind Waker and Majora's Mask over the next few weeks on my blog. We can be dorky together.

You may have seen mine posted over on the Gaming side, or on a few of the big gaming websites, but check out Past to Present Online at http://ptoponline.com . I cover games and such, but I mostly check out unreleased or beta versions of games with video that you won't see anywhere else.

i figured that i had this webspace that i've been storing all this music i made on i might as well share it with people.

i've played some role in about 150 songs under various monikers and bands, so i am sharing those songs, one song at a time. and possibly making more music in the future. older gaf ppl might know stuff i did as the dale gribble experience, and newer maybe as iaas.

http://untidyramblings.wordpress.com/2012/10/16/how-many-nappies-do-i-need-to-buy/

Updated with something a little more down to earth than my usual pie in the sky nonsense (bulk buying diapers/nappies). I googled this question online and to my surprise nobody actually gave good answers with numbers, sources or assumptions etc.

I thought I'd fix that.

Anyway, the big takeaway is that every kid is different, but you won't go wrong buying a lot of Toddler sized nappies.

My blog

Gentlemen (and a few ladies) from the unemployed thread may recall that I spent a fairly long time (nearly a year) unemployed. Ironically, I ended up finally finding a job in human resources; I've since moved on from that field and currently enjoy a well-paying, benefits-eligible, generally fun job. Given the time that I spent unemployed, in addition to the experience I have working in human resources, I think I have pretty valuable advice to offer my target audience: the unemployed, the underemployed, and the unhappily employed. The advice mostly centers around job applications and personal finance.

The blog is fairly new (just 7 posts so far), but I'm pretty serious about offering substantive guidance on questions both common (e.g., best formatting for a resume) and rarely considered (e.g., best time of day to interview). During my own job search, a point of frustration was that a lot of employment advice on the Web is generic, outdated, or both.

Someone mentioned to me in another thread that I should post a link to my blog here, so... here it is!

I write mostly about football (soccer), video games, and politics.

I made a blog a few years ago, anonymously, based on marriage issues. Fucking embarrassing stuff, but it was cathartic at the time. I was surprised at how big it got at the time I realized how pathetic I was for making it. Had a daily readership reaching ALMOST 100 :O

Anyways, aforementioned marriage is merely waiting for us to go to court and all involved are in a much healthier place! I realized one of the things I was missing in life was creating.

I've been consuming so much excellent content that I want to give something back to the vengeful bitch goddess that is the internet. So far it's just an introduction and my discussing getting back into comics after 20 years.

I plan on discussing tech, gaming, horror media, fitness, and perhaps even some original short stories if life permits.

If any of this interests you I'd love to have you stop by. As weird as this may sound I'm sort of rediscovering my humanity and getting back into music and literature after my incredibly shitty marriage so there's a ton of great shit I've missed out on, so post a comment and rock my world!

I just posted my first piece of flash-fiction to my blog. It's, of course, not the most professional effort in the world. This is my first fictional writing as an adult, and my goals were merely to be coherent and, hopefully, not insult the reader's intelligence too much.

It's 1,000 words and I'd like to think it taught me a few basic things about being economical with my writing.

I'm not sure if I've pimped this blog in this thread before (I know I did for my original one back in 2010-2011, but that one crashed and burned horribly):

http://readingisforsnobs.blogspot.com/

This one has thankfully been far more successful (which actually wasn't much of a feat compared to the old one), and as I was mentioning in poligaf (it's a political blog, btw), I got some MAJOR publicity today:

Gametista is my "newer blog" after I shut down NintendoGal.com. It started early last year, but I didn't start updating it really until NG was done.

  • Focus on gaming accessories/gear
  • Created the Non-Specific Action Figure tutorial (was originally meant to be an NG article)
  • Skewed at the moment towards Nintendo because that's my knowledge base (this is changing as I have more experience, however)
  • Covers PC/console/mobile type gaming gear
  • Attempts to highlight sales on products
  • Reviews
  • News, blah blah blah

Currently trying to work on all the pretty things I saw at CES and balancing going back to school (haven't been for 7+ years).

Just switched Wordpress themes for my blog, Ekostories, because the old theme was terrible for tablet browsing. Looking for feedback on the layout.

You by chance have a screenshot of the old version for comparison? I do like the new look from here on my desktop, but don't have a tablet so no feedback from that perspective. Also gave you a follow on there. Will keep an eye on your blog from now on.

Unfortunately I don't think I do. It was the Quintus theme. I liked it, but the pictures got all janky distorted and interfered with the written content, the header got chopped off on the sides, and there was no bottom footer to place widgets.

Thanks for the follow :)

What do you guys do to spread the word about your blogs other than post on here? I use Twitter, but am curious if you guys have any other methods.

Ekostories - Escape to Happiness and Insanity: Gilliam's Brazil

Brazil is a mess of a movie in the best possible way. Terry Gilliam’s creation is wildly original and incredibly chaotic, blending elements of comedy and drama into an unforgettable piece of cinema. Visually extravagant and thematically dense, Brazil rewards observant and repeat viewers with a barrage of imagery and subtext ripe for speculation and analysis. A story with almost too much to say, I regard Brazil as one of the most memorable explorations into the absurdities and perils of modern society, and completely worth of becoming an Ekostory.
