What do you guys do to spread the word about your blogs other than post on here? I use Twitter, but am curious if you guys have any other methods.

Twitter, a Facebook group that I also update when I post, Digg, reddit, stumbleupon, etc.

Twitter etc, but it seems like most listeners just heard about the podcast from someone else who likes it. Word of mouth always seems to trump any social media stuff.

On my blog we are doing a March Madness style tournament to decide the Worst TV Characters. Now take into consideration we only went from shows me and my fellow blog runner watched so some big ones are missing (Sopranos, Buffy, Dexter, and Mad Men come to mind and probably a 100 others if TV GAF looks at this). But we put up the first round polls. So hopefully you can find someone to vote for that you hate.

It really depends on the style of your blog, what platform you're working with, and how much effort you put into SEO. Keep your expectations low: Just write, do a bit of promotion, and let it be. It's tough not to get sucked into tracking views. Believe me, I've done it.
