Ah that sucks :( There's a midwest tourney here (mostly tekken, only SIX VF players, rofl) but I wanted to get some practice against people with the stick. Ah well, pad for me for a while longer!
 
I've always wanted to get a JP PS2, but without any games it's hard to take the plunge. What are some good JP-only games that are in this sale?

exactly what is the difference between 'Asia' and 'Japan' versions of games? Just language, or is there some kind of better/worse 'game quality' issue involved as well?
 
I don't know about other systems, but with 360 games, 'Japan' versions are in Japanese and will only work on Japanese systems. 'Asia' versions are in English (they're basically the same as the American version), and some are region-free (so, they would be playable on non-Japanese systems).

At least, that's my understanding of how it works.

Unless otherwise noted, Asian versions of Playstation 2/3 games are typically the Japanese versions with a one page insert that explains the controls and basic gameplay in English.

Can you configure a J-PS2 to play Region 1 DVD's? Just curious as that would make it a bit more functional.

Also, anyone know if Driller GC can save on Wii with Action Replay? I doubt it, but it's worth asking since I want desperately to play this game
 
everyone get 'rhythm tengoku,' definitely one of last year's best games and totally worth over $40. it's a steal at this price.
