It's funny, I'm 33, I prefer bigger boobs to a bigger butt. Never seen the appeal of bigger butts, or butts in general. Same with my guy friends and brothers.

On the other hand my three older sisters (age between 35 - 38) all seem obsessed with women with bigger butts and would routinely rate women in the media based on them having "back" or not.

My experience has always been that the women in my life care more about having a nice butt than the guys. But then I'm Nigerian and, though not scientific by any means, in general, Nigerian girls tend to be very well endowed indeed in the breast department.

I honestly don't believe that people care less about boobs, that it's more boobs just aren't that big of a deal any more. I honestly expect in the next 10ish years we're going to see laws against women going topless to start to disappear or simply not enforced because it's just not anything strange or out of place anymore.

As someone in their early 30's, I grew up in a generation that fought for women's rights to breastfeed children in public, and where pink ribbons with "save the boobies" on them were common. Where doctor's and TV ads weren't afraid to talk about "mammograms" and self checking breasts for lumps.

Boobs aren't a tabboo thing anymore, and when something isn't tabboo it becomes less of enticing in and of itself.

Not wanting to brag, but being conflicted on which one to give attention to is a great choice to have.

So the study makes that conclusion based on porn searches? Cause boobs are pretty ubiquitous in porn. Outside of "boobjob" there's little reason to search for it explicitly, you'll just end up with like... everything.

And the decline in implants is just a reflection of the times. Women feel less socially pressured to do it, or at least they have more confidence and awareness to stand against that social pressure. Dunno how that in any way makes boobs less popular. Just plastic surgery in general.

It was brought up earlier and I agree with it. There's been a lot of factors in breasts being desexualised, and we're better off now.

I don't know that this conclusion necessarily must follow the two arguments made.

First off, in regards to porn searches... it doesn't even make SENSE to search specifically for boob sizes in porn. Like, I'm a titty man, but I've NEVER searched for "big boobs" because the vast majority of women in any given video are pretty stacked anyway. Breast size just isn't a meaningful category of porn anymore in the vast range of tags and categories out there, especially as people are increasingly looking towards more specific content.

If a deli only serves chicken and grilled cheese sandwiches, and suddenly starts selling pulled pork and roast beef and so on, is it fair to say the customer base is "less interested" in cheese? Especially if cheese comes by default on like every sandwich?

As for the quotes on breast reduction, I don't think it's natural (HA) at all to look at women's happiness with their fake breast implants and say "yes, this is because men are less interested in boobs". Even if you disregard the possible answer that people are just more interested in authenticity, there are still tons of disadvantages to big boobs. My partner has G cups, and she's looking at breast reduction... not because I don't like them (I VERY MUCH DO), but because bigger boobs cause all kinds of strain and buying bras that fit are exponentially more expensive (and harder to find) as you get bigger. There are just tons of little reasons why I don't think this has much to do with what young men like.
