PLAYSTATION 3 Presentation - 22nd February

What morons asked 'why seven controllers'? All you need to do is the tiniest bit of research into BlueTooth to find out the answer. The same idiotic comment was made in Edge's recent PS3 article.

Yeah, there are plenty in that article. They still fail to understand the dual screen thing for example. Sometimes I have the feeling EDGE doesn't know what they are talking about.

Dual screen actually sounds like it will be useful, even if games don't support it.

Think about it, you hook up one HDMI to a HDTV and the other to a PC monitor. When watching a BluRay or DVD movie, you can have all the controls that aren't handled via the remote up on the monitor while the movie is playing on your TV. I've always hated having to bring up a UI overlaid on top of what I’m watching.

If the PS3 does end up being a good media server, this will be really good for that as well. You could have your file lists and controls up on the monitor, while your video or visualizations (for music) are uninterrupted on the TV.

I wonder if you can use the HDMI with analog outs for true dual screen as well? That would help out the people that only have one HDMI display device.

While not necessarily a 'system seller', I think it does add some nice convenience for those that want to take advantage of it.

Yep, could definitely be very useful for OS features...depending on how its implemented.
Of course it would be useful for games, if it was practical (which it probably isn't).

I'll probably connect both my PC monitors to the PS3 if what Onix says is true.

19" 12ms screen as main screen, 19" 25ms screen as secondary screen. Yes, I cant afford a HDTV yet. :(

I'm not saying it's true ... I'm just going by the impressions Striek posted (originally from Scazza) ...

1. The PS3 will support two 1080p screens and the screen isnt duplicate (rumour going round on several boards saying that Sony have scrapped this feature).

Well, that much just makes sense anyway. Its what you would assume before all the 'this isn't happening/its been dropped' fanboy wishes. And what you posted certainly resembles what Sony promised at E3.

Someone remind me what Massive Attack was claiming again?

(Any jokes about 'a body without a heart' and I'll hit you.)

The "surprise" about this announcement is that it has already been made and we must scour the net to find the secret location of the grand PS3 event going on RIGHT NOW.

I'll give him another day out of mercy, but if we still haven't heard anything by the time I leave work tomorrow I'll be rooting for a ban
