Come be advertised at and pay for the privilege. Awesome.
This is a terrible post. Anyone watching E3 is 'being advertised at'. Do you complain about this in all E3 threads?
Dear lord, get over yourself.

Cool! Free ads!
What crawled up your butt and died?Cool! Free ads!
Anyone from Wisconsin going? Would love to go, but have no one to go with. :X
It was pretty insane last year lol. TLG, FF7, and Shenmue all got crazy reactions.I might ask for the day off and hang out in Chicago until the thing starts. I mean the level of crazy the audience will get is worth it.
Well I !ive in Oshkosh and this gonna be about a 2hr drive for me....I just wanna go to it for once. They moved it too far away from me. Last year's location was perfect. I'll be watching from home this year.![]()
Whether a press conference is an "ad" or not, people are clearly entertained by them. You don't look cool or superior by taking a dismissive (and apparently ignorant) stance.

What are you even talking about.E3 is a huge marketing event. You get to see trailers for stuff that is years away from release, or may never see the light of day (Agent, Fable Legends). I think it's a shame people forget that the whole thing is about cash. Going to group events like the PS Experience is just a cynical way of taking advantage of fans to vuild some brand loyalty, and I think brand loyalty is one of the most toxic elements of the industry. It's obsessive and works against the intersects of consumers.
I know all that is not news to anyone, but I'm not a fan of things like this.
No theater near me
Closest one is a little over an hour away. The one in Philadelphia.
Really? You just burst my bubble. Why do you think dubbed and not subtitles?
Just moved to Mexico City and I haven't started my Spanish classes yet.

Well, there will be trailers for stuff coming this fall and early next year too. Or that stuff doesn't count?E3 is a huge marketing event. You get to see trailers for stuff that is years away from release, or may never see the light of day (Agent, Fable Legends).

I don't understand how anyone with a NeoGAF account couldn't find E3 incredibly exciting.
Are you sure you meant to be on GAF? I think you were looking for /v/.Come be advertised at and pay for the privilege. Awesome.

I mean, if you're going to take a hardline cynical stance, that's totally on you, then. At least you clarified, which is fine, but it's still an incredibly negative perspective. I don't think any of us here 'forgets' that E3 is about brand recognition or anything of that sort, but even for those of us who do not get into console war-esque bullshit, it's still an awesome time to let them spend that advertising budget trying to show what they have coming.
And this event is attended by more than just 'playstation loyalists', when I went last year, there were tons of people with their 3DSes in the crowd waiting to get in. It's a lot of fun to feel like a community event to watch the conference that I was going to watch anyway.
Hopefully, Sucker Punch have better things to be doing than making a Spiderman game. Telltale Games are working with Marvel for a game this year.Well, you're going to be dissapointed LOL.
I don't think cinema staff would want to work at 2am.Also, no experience for the UK? Show us some love sony!
What's the alternative? Enlighten us.It's fun to watch, of course. I love games, and it's how I make my living, but I don't think the emphasis placed on E3 is healthy.
I live 5 minutes from the theater by me and this type of crowed setting makes me want to chill at home and watch it, going to look up last year's give aways and that will be the deciding factor sadly. My friend went to one last year and he said it was one of the worst circle jerks of rabid fanboys he has ever seen. Anytime anything was shown, he heard people yell "FUCK XBOX", "GET FUCKED XBOX". Shit like that
lolLast year my friends didn't get tickets and had to watch it a home so naturally like a good friend...I went by myself lol.

Because in past years Playstation LatAm has broadcasted a feed with simultaneous Spanish translations. No subtitles. And live subtitles is a really tricky and difficult thing to pull off versus just a voiceover.
I''ll wait for more details... maybe some theaters will broadcast in english, who knows, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Im willing to bet all of them will have live overdubbing.

Yea I didn't witness that either. While we all waited for the doors to open anybody with a 3ds was asked to battle in pokemon if they had it,talked about the conferences that came before and so on.Huh. I've gone the past two years and never heard anything like that at our showing. Good old Omaha Nebraska I guess.
