Closest one this year is an hour away. Last year, they had one much closer, I was in the wait list & the theater was less than half full. I guess that's why they only have the one location for Phoenix this year.

more like this you mean

"Those of you joining us in theaters. We want to thank you for supporting Sony and PlayStation. Now... reach for your popcorn box and read the instructions on the underside for our extra special thanks. That's right, you are going to lead the generation into the next era of PlayStation. Free PSVR Cardboard Edition kits just for you to spread the word!"

Totally not worth it. You spend more on gas. I personally wouldn't go if it wasn't in my backyard. you can get just as hype watching it at home. :)

I enjoyed it for sure last year but driving 4 hours to get there and 4 hours back with work the next morning I decided this year sadly, no go.

I will also say, if Nashville gets waitlisted again (it did last year), still come. Last year the theater was only half full and it was sold out..

I thought the theater filled up by the time it started, though? Regardless, I was glad all the waitlisted people were able to get in.

I'm still planning to show up early and save my space in line, just in case! ;)

just a heads up for Boston/Fenway people

I was there last year, idk if it was the rain or people were trolling registering but the theater wasn't even full when I went and I was waitlisted

horrible pic but this was the front with 6 minutes to go , my brother and I basically had the entire row to ourselves

I have a feeling only half the tickets go up then the rest are walk ups. Had no problems last year on the wait list.

Tried to get general admission to Columbus Ohiio but reached an internal error at the very end.

When I went to try again, it said general admission was sold out and I had to try the waitlist.

A couple mins later, the option for general admission showed up again and I got through it all.

Now I got two emails. One confirming my waitlist status and one confirming my tickets.

Does that mean I should just go without worries?

I hate my f--ing friends. All of them are pulling the same shit they did with the Overwatch theater thing, they're going to say they aren't sure if they want to go or not, then once tickets sell out they're going to go "Oh hey I want to go now."

This doesn't actually cost money though. You should have just got two tickets in case.

I guess NebraskaGAF is a little more low key about this. Buds and I just signed up. 3 tickets no problem 4 hours after it opened.

I had a similar problem the first year at Columbus. It wasn't an issue. You'll be fine. The Columbus scene is lax. Just get there early enough just in case.

I just got the last ticket from the Pittsburgh theater somehow. I was at work all day with no internet access so I had my sister get a ticket for herself and me. She tells me she was put on the waitlist even though she tried to get tickets as soon as it was up. I decide to try asking for a ticket to see what happens and get one immediately. She freaks out and tells me to get one for her and it says sold out. Ugh. Now we have to get their extra early and hope there is a seat for her.

I really wish there was one in Edmonton (the capital of Alberta) instead of Calgary, I don't feel like taking a bus for 4.5 hours each way for a free plastic cup. :/

Dammit! I got way too busy at work this morning and couldn't get on to get a ticket for the Vancouver show. I went to both last year and the inaugural one. :(

Oh well.

Congrats for those who got some tickets!!

Latin America? I wonder if they'll include my country... Will have to wait and see what happens.

What kind of freebies got handed out last year? My girlfriend and friend are hoping for a No Man's Sky demo, I think realistically we'll maybe get a Call of Duty Beta code and some free digital store cash.

The first year's stuff was great! Destiny Alpha, some other early beta access, $5 PSN credit, some other stuff. Maybe a little PS+ subscription credit? I forget what last year's stuff was, but I remember it being not as good, both in quantity and quality, but it wasn't terrible. Another $5 PSN, I think. But, I'll say this, I cared so much less about the freebies Year 2. Being in a theater surrounded by game enthusiasts during the Conference of Dreams was the greatest gift they could ever give. Being present for the triple combo, hearing (and participating in) the deafening screams of ecstasy and disbelief, feeling the energy of the crowd, witnessing the length of the fallout it took for people to recover: unforgettable. Wouldn't trade that memory for the world.

Man, reading this really makes me wish I could've experienced last year's conference in person.

I know FF7R was the biggest one, but did TLG also get any crazy, awesome reactions?

I can only speak for my crowd, but there was a great steady murmur that turned into a roar and a total freakout. I myself went like "TRICO IS BACK! TRICO IS BAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!11!1"

It just let me get two tickets in Portland, OR so it seems they're still available there.

Anyone know from past years if my single email for both tickets works for my friend and me or will she have a separate email she'll need to show for her ticket? The email I received said it works as my ticket but it lists both so I'm assuming it'll work for the pair of us. I accidentally put in her email incorrectly so she won't see her email.

I was like "Holy shit, are they starting with The Last Guardian?" and people around me were like "Fucking, no way!" and then were just applauding when it ended. People were kind of just in awe of how they chose to start things off. I was more impressed with Horizon, myself, watching the goddamn robo dinos in action on that screen was pretty crazy.

I predict the most hardcore of hardcore will be jumping out of their seats when they see the Bend Studio logo and trailer for their game open the show.
