Playstation Move Thread: It Only Does Everything

I got my party pack a day early, and so far, playing with my cousins has been an awesome time. The crappiest part is charging the damn controllers, lol. Can't wait to play some more. It was a little confusing for the 6 year old in Sports Champions (the Move button kinda blew his mind, since he's used to a regular DS3 when playing stuff with his dad), but once he remembered which button was which, he did great. He does the calibration stuff faster than I do :lol His 11 year old sister was perfectly comfortable with any control differences the game threw at her.

My only real problem trying stuff out was that I couldn't get past the calibration stuff for the Eyepet demo. Once it asks to put the controller in the correct position on the floor, I hold the Move button, and other than some red sparkles, nothing else happens. I'm probably doing something wrong, but it kinda bummed out the kids for a few minutes. Hopefully the rest of the family enjoys it just as much as us on Christmas though. I have a feeling the least Move "intensive" game (Singstar), will be the biggest hit, but I think Sports Champions might give it a run for its money. Regardless, the stuff was free, so I can't complain about anything at this point.

I've tried it a couple times, but no matter what, I can't get past the 'wiggle your fingers' part of the Eyepet demo.

Oh well, that thing is too hideous for me to ever buy the game.

Eyepet with Move is a billion times better than without Move.

The drawing is much better, the fishing is much better and so is more or less everything.

The augmented reality in that game is mind blowing.

Also, in Sports Champions, when playing the Archery game, after calibrating and everything, after I knock the arrow and pull back, when trying to aim, the left Move controller is directly in my line of sight, and it seems like I've got to point up more than I should have to. I think I remember TTP or somebody saying there's a way to "fix" this by calibrating it a bit differently? If not, is there anything else I could do?

Totally in love with Beat Sketcher. Can't stop laughing whenever we use it.

I'm having this same problem. Also I don't like that one of the tips says to aim from the hip to reduce fatigue. Who the hell aims an arrow from the hip?

Nice, never heard of that Modern Combat Domination, but 60fps and Move support is a hell of a pull. Will definitely be checking the demo out.

For EU owners, you can get all 6 episodes tomorrow for only £9.99. With Move support and the amount of trophies available, that is an absolute steal. One of my PSN highlights of the year.

Totally missed this, can you explain a little bit what the game's about? Point/click adventure I assume?

Its essentially a good old British 'Whodunnit?' set in a quaint English village. You find clues by solving puzzles (audio, visual etc) that can be played in a group of up to four or as a single player. There are 6 episodes in total. Each episode has a theme. The music is really nice and it has a unique visual style.

One person did all of the voice acting and at times the game cracked me up. Not only that, the ending was totally satisfying.

It got knocked because of its high price to gameplay ratio, but at £9.99 for all 6 episodes all concerns should go away. The puzzles are actually challenging.

TTP... have you tested Kung Fu Live Yet..? would like to see a video of that game by you..

I have tested it, but works like shit in my room under my light condition. Not a pretty sight. Feels kinda pointless to do a video review like that.

Also, almost had an heart attack at level 2 so I had to stop for a while. :lol

But you have the "SUN" light that you used to test light response. Get on it!! :D

I have the game.. but my gaming room does not allow me to play.. only my 5 and 7 year old daughters.. so I had fun watching them play..

I tried, and I get "bad light condition" warning as well :lol

It's not like the game doesn't work at all with me. It's actually surprising how it picks most of my body gestures, but I look quite messy in game as parts of me flicker and I'm surrounded by a portions of my room background.

Kung Fu Rider is $14 on Amazon today. Is it worth it at that price or is it THAT awful?

Wait until it gets to $1.4. Ok, seriously it's not that bad but $14 is still too much for this IMO.

My vid, btw: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3ZkxlqA-tQ

It´s a waste of money... not fun at all.. doesn´t even use the Move controller for any thing useful... except giving you a headache after hammering it against your head, when the game again not recognizes what you tried to make it do..

try using a lamp, and place it right beside you, make it light up the roof. This way the shadows should disappear, and the flicker is not so visible.. also make sure the background is not full of stuff ..

I know. I know. I need to create the proper conditions. I'll probably do down the line. Just didn't have time when the game released.

I bumped the RE5 thread but I finally got a navigation controller and gave RE5 a shot.

I found it to be pretty fun, especially since I enjoyed the RE4 Wii Edition. I just hate how Capcom decided to use the move button for firing, what's so wrong about using the trigger button..as a trigger?

Yep. Too bad we can't add Dead Space 2 demo to the list :/

so I read this on the comment section PS Blog

it would have been very cool if in addition to dead space extraction if dead space 2 was also supported by the move.

Yes, yes it would

Does that mean DS2 will have MOVE support or is Sid just misinformed?

That is incredibly lame that it doesn't. Really disappointed that Uncharted 3 also isn't going to support move.
Did they say so? All I know is Sony isn't forcing them to do it. But, if you like analyzing carefully-worded PR statements, it could also mean that they are supporting Move voluntarily.

Yeah there was an interview not that long ago where they say they wouldn't be supporting move cause it didn't match with their vision of the game or some shit. If you look in the Uncharted 3 preview thread theres alot of discussion about it. Seems most people who play Uncharted don't want it in there.

Played some Top Darts and echochrome ii yesterday.

I am really liking Top Darts, think Hustle Kings... but darts.

Seconded. The Move's augmented reality games are really becoming my favorites.

Ok, quick question. It likely has been asked before, I'm sure of it, but this thread is so huge I'm not even sure where to begin.

I loved the motion controls of RE4 on the Wii. Are the motion controls with Move on the PS3 at least at the same quality for RE5?

I didn't play RE4 on the Wii but the Move controls in RE5 were superb in my opinion. They made the depressing tank controls bearable for me. They're very quick and responsive, makes aiming for headshots so much easier.
