Playstation Move Thread: It Only Does Everything

Its essentially a good old British 'Whodunnit?' set in a quaint English village. You find clues by solving puzzles (audio, visual etc) that can be played in a group of up to four or as a single player. There are 6 episodes in total. Each episode has a theme. The music is really nice and it has a unique visual style.

One person did all of the voice acting and at times the game cracked me up. Not only that, the ending was totally satisfying.

It got knocked because of its high price to gameplay ratio, but at £9.99 for all 6 episodes all concerns should go away. The puzzles are actually challenging.

I have it and love it as well. I'm wondering how Move will be incorporated, though.

Heads up people.

I'm giving away (well, not really, u need to put some effort in it - see below) 10 Flight Control HD EU PSN codes today via my blog.

Thought some of you might want to participate to the contest, especially US people with no money in their EU PSN account wallets (the codes I have can only be redeemed from EU Store)

What is Flight Control HD?

How to get a free code?
http://www.iwaggle3d.com/2010/12/iwin-flight-control-hd-2nd-round.html

Is it ok to post this on GAF or is it against the TOS?

I get codes for giveaways regularly and if it's ok I can give the heads up here in the future.

TTP, where do I go to answer the questions? The thread is closed.

oh nevermind, it's a twitter thing

pass

Questions will be sent out via Twitter.
Answers have to be submitted in the forum thread (now closed. Will open a few minutes before the contest begins).

All is explained in the link provided above.

What's the problem with Twitter. You don't even need to be registered to Twitter to get the questions.

If I download FlightControl using my EU account. I can still play it on my US account right ?

Yep

I exchanged gifts with my girlfriend tonight and she got me the Sports Champions Move bundle :D

Cant wait to take it home tomorrow to play. Is it pretty easy to set up? I'm also going to get a PSN card on my way home tomorrow so I can get Tumble and Beat Sketcher.

Syncing is super easy, and installing the PSEye is just a matter of sticking it into the USB port in front of your PS3.

sounds like you got the right idea with that PSN card :)

I would have rec'd those two games.

I think it hits in the next update or maybe the next next update, but Under Seige sounds really neat.

Yes. I hope it's not my fault, I was just being a babby.

I'll chime in when it gets going, again, I would love that game since I'm not allowed to have it in the US.

No worries. It makes sense and it's easier for me to menage the whole thing.

I originally though about using Twitter to send questions in order to avoid furious F5'ing of the forum since I have no clue how the servers would handle it. But I guess it's going be fine since it has less than 70 members :lol

Dang, you deserve more though.

You've got the best source of Move info on the web, and it's not even close. Your videos are our reference for Move content, it's no exaggeration to say nothing else comes close, because nothing else does. It's a drag that more people are interested in the superficial alternatives, but I appreciate your work in shining a light on the only good motion device. Your work has a purpose, and it stands out.

keep it up

Bought Echochrome 2 after loving the demo. It's actually really awesome...I love it. Great gameplay. It's really intriguing and satisfying.

Pity i'm crap at it.

Can you recall how big a DL it is? Just that space is limited on my PS3.

I finally gave MAG with Move a chance thanks to the PS+ trial. I liked it. With a small bounding box it felt like I had faster and more accurate control then just using the sticks to aim. Now If I can use it on a better game....

Well there's Modern Combat in Jan which looks good and failing that KZ3 in Feb will be incredible.

Question: No matter how well I calibrate the move I never feel that I have the precision I want. Take The Shoot or Time Crisis, for example. When I point at the screen I'd assume that the cursor would reflect that....but I'm always a little off and I have to adjust a little. It certainly makes Time Crisis pretty hard to play when compared to the arcade. Is this normal?

I think its an issue that TCRS has.

Yeah, the Time Crisis demo felt way off to me, but The Shoot demo seemed sharp and very accurate. TC just seems to be a turd.

Loving the Pro Darts game, lots of variety and having custom soundtracks is absolutely great. My Living room and Playstation is slowly becoming a great way to simulate a pub with Hustle Kings and Pro darts, I'm loving it.

If you have 10 bucks to burn and want a good time call sandy or just pick up Pro Darts, it's really that good.

The mini games are cool. I'm having a blast playing stack up great random #'s game.

I played the TC demo that came with the Move and it was terrible - controller going out of sync randomly and accuracy was off. Bought the game for about $25 during Black Friday just for giggles and it actually plays much better than the demo. None of the issues I had are present in the retail copy. You would think the demo would have more polish.

I've been playing the Tumble demo - it's incredible. There's a destruction level that's a little frustrating (all the glass boxes in a wall and a sole box in front of it) but it has an awesome mechanic, presentation, control scheme and feel. I'll probably buy it soon.

It's nice that you can use two controllers (I love when games do this) but in a game about precision it really doesn't help any imo.

Edit: Also the MAG trial was awesome. I don't think MAG is more than an OK game, it feels and looks very low budget and unpolished, but the controls were so great. Need moar.

I didn't see it mentioned in this or the store thread, but there is an Ape Escape Move demo (I don't know the official name) on the Japanese PSN store. The way it works is really impressive, though, there was some weirdness to the pointing.

I also found an RE5 move demo on the japanese psn store and it was pretty awful. I was a big fan of RE4 on the wii and those controls, but RE5's implementation of the move isn't natural. You hold down the trigger, it centers the cursor, and it's like you're moving a giant analog stick. I really hope this method isn't used in any other games. In general I'm not a fan of how inconsistent pointing is with the move. So far The Shoot demo was the only one I was really impressed with and I thought it felt better than the Wii.

Have you tried MAG?

Thats because they release a patch to fixed that issue.

Sweet, I might buy this tonight for some easy going gaming during the x-mas day, since I'm having friends over.

Wow!!!! A Resident Evil Move Demo...

Best Move game/demo, GO!

Okay, favorite. Favorite game/demo. GO!

I just got it for Christmas.. Sports Champions Disc Golf is awesome. Just wish I had someone to play with.. and more than 3 holes to a game. :(

I just got the Move, and I'm playing that Sports Champion game that comes with it. Having a blast, and getting a good workout! Disc golf is a fucking pain, though.

Man, tonight was awesome. Brought the Move stuff to the family Christmas Eve dinner, and everybody loved the stuff. I think we played Bocce Ball in SC for 2 plus hours alone :lol Once we were done with SC (never played the Shoot), I broke out Singstar, and as I guessed, it was everyone's favorite. It's funny, at first I was afraid of pulling out the Move controllers for the dance stuff, since I knew from beforehand that it was pretty much follow along with the on screen person, with no real indication of what you were supposed to do before you did it. It's kind of a poor way to get that stuff done, especially after stuff like Just Dance and Kinect, which both seem to do a better job of showing what you need to do. However, once people started trying it, they loved it. I think the thing they loved most though was the ability to record them goofing off like complete idiots. :lol It was great watching the first few people act crazy as shit in front of the camera, only to then reveal the entire thing was recorded :lol It's a shame I can't upload that stuff straight to youtube (or even export it to the XMB and then manually upload it), since other than watching every routine right after we've done it, there doesn't seem to be much reason to keeping stuff saved.

Anyways, this is starting to sound like a sales pitch, but the short version was: Everybody loved it. The stuff in SC impressed many of them (and they all own Wiis), they very much enjoyed Singstar Dance, and they all can't wait for New Years so I can bring the stuff back.

Ape Escape demo is better than I expected it to be.

I thought this game was going to be a mini game collection like Start the Party, but it's more like a lightgunshooter, with the typical AE tools of course (which you use 1:1 like in StP). Connected via quality anime story cutscenes.
Smooth (basic) graphics and lots of physically animated objects (e.g. when you start your vortex). It's also quite fun and demanding as you have to collect the bananas and batteries while it moves to the next fixed location (though there you can turn via the O and X buttons, interesting approach w/o a Navi/DS3, though I don't think it's a really good one). This also requires quickly switching the tools.
Would have been nice if you could use e.g. the net in a 3D space, to reach towards the screen with the Move controller, though that would probably make the game to hard if you had to hit the apes in the exact right spot instead of in a 2D lane.

I got a Sports Champions bundle for Xmas. I'm thinking about picking up Time Crisis at some point.

What are the big Move titles I should pick up?

It lives!

All I've played is the demo for is Start The Party. It was a lot more fun than I expected. I had bought Sports Champions while it was on sale, but I can't try it out until tomorrow since I'm at work all day today. :(

Got Move for Christmas from the wife with the Sly Cooper Collection (didn't realize this was updated with Move controls!) and Heavy Rain. :D

Anyone played High Velocity Bowling with the Move? I can't figure out where to configure the controller.

*edit: There was a 100kb Move HVB update on PSN. Dumb that this isn't just part of the 2.0 update.

Well Sly Cooper only has Move controls for the mini games.

Buying a Move bundle with all the cash I got for Christmas.

The ridiculous amount of Move games on PSN + TTP's videos has sold me.

I got a bundle for X-Mas, and am going to get a second motion controller and a Nav. for Killzone 3 and the assortment of others that are coming soon.
