Playstation Move Thread: It Only Does Everything

so there is zero chance of getting RE5 non-gold to work with move - not even a paying patch?
They actually want me to rebuy a game for which i bought the dlc? just to play with move?

:(

Yep. Unfortunately, only the gold edition has the necessary hooks for Move.

Actually, I think it depends on what the Eye detects as the most common color of the room, and then chooses a color to contrast that, perhaps simply the inverse.

What color's your wall, Tribal? Answer may be to paint it.
Mines purple too and my room is painted sky blue.

If you think you're going to be playing it this weekend, add seventy5 on PSN. I have to work tonight but I'm down to play some this weekend, especially tomorrow.
Sadly I'll only be able to play today and a little tomorrow

Wow, it's finally out. I'm jealous of you guys that have it.
I had to spend my gaming budget for the week on Halo but I will get my space dildo soon, just you wait.

Mine get pink or blue depending on game but I haven't seen any other color except when it flashes all kinds of colors at the start of some games.

Just tried out a few games. Tumble seems good so far, was kinda disappointed in the Shoot and Start the Party.

Then I tried Sports Champions- Gladiator. Holy freaking crap, so much fun. I cant wait until my chum comes over tonight for some fightin action.

Also a ticker on Sports Champions said there was an overwhelming demand on the leaderboard servers so they had to take them down temporarily. That's a good problem to have methinks. :D

wtf mang? How long does this thing take to charge! :lol its been charging for 2.5 hours.
I read somewhere that a first charge can take up to 4 hours. I think it's in the manual.
Today I had one bar left and it charged in around 2 hours I think.

from watching TTPs lighting video, I'm surprised anyone is having problems with too much light. If you're having so much sunlight that the move isn't working, I'm surprised if your wii works, as I've had issues before with low level sun messing the wiimote pointer up, but my move is fine.

I'm not sure there is a 'standard' for pointing yet, I hope devs settle down on a scheme. Eg the shoot is a more direct pointing method (as its a lightgun game), but other games seem to be happy to use the move as a relative input, and not 1:1 on screen. I've not seen much that shows something similar to the Wii home menu screen for example.

Tumble. Has a pointer for the menus. Also Ruse.

I don't know what the problem was before but I'm having reasonable success now. I just tried eyepet, the worst part was I have like a 100lb giant coffee table between the TV and the sofa and theres no way I'm moving it so I had to get tricky to get past the "touch the floor" part, somehow it's smart enough to know that there was no surface where it thought there should be.

I've had the eye for a while but I don't think I've ever really used it. :P The clarity of the picture in full screen on my TV is a horrid blurry inexcusable mess. Good thing I probably won't ever care to own any games that actually show the camera on the screen while playing it like eyepet and that party game.

I have to admit though, the augmented reality thing is pretty cool to experience... you know, like your hand turning into a blow dryer to dry your eyepet... I wish there was just something more out there for me to play around with as I only bought two moves and one nav and didn't get the bundle with sports champions because I already had the damned eye.

I wonder if sports champions will be cheap used bin fodder soon.

Anyway, don't know if it's been discussed but was anybody else surprised to see the "EXT" port on the move controller?

is there any way to unlock more 'free play' games on Start the Party? Playing group play we had crocodile teeth brushing, pizza topping catching, whack a mole and more. But still the same basic free play games.

When playing with little kids they want to just play a game without competing with you.

What does everyone have their PS Eye refresh rate set to?

50Hz or 60Hz? Does either one work better with Move?

Not sure if that matters or not.

That depends if you live somewhere that has 50hz or 60hz household current. It's for fluorescent lighting which flickers generally either at 50 or 60 hz.

tell me more about this leaderboard thingy, where can find it in the game? been playing table tennis though

My wife and I are having a blast with table tennis and disc golf so far. Gladiator is pretty cool too, but I only have one Move controller. I'm still waiting on the UPS to bring my nav. so I can try out RE5 gold. I plat'd and played the hell out of RE5 when it came out so it will be interesting.

I'm not a big fan of waggle/gimmicky play. I feel Heavy Rain's implementation will be like that, although I haven't tried it. I only want to use this for games that make sense (golf, tennis, shooters, etc) and not as a powerglove 2.0.

I'm really impressed with the archery game in Sports Champions. I haven't tried anything else yet, but I'm digging the Move so far.

1. Could you touch the top of the coffee table as the floor so the little monster runs around on it?

2. On the image quality... could it be the lens is dirty? Hence the tracking problems? lol, sorry for running through the "Duh" troubleshooting list, but sometimes that's what it takes.

3. the Ext port is for accessories like the gun, so the trigger (and hopefully even cooler stuff down the road) connects and works like it should.

Any word on whether the table tennis is definitely better than the Wii Sports Resort version? I hear good things, but it has to be phenomenal for me to spend 150$

anyone really excited for the fight after playing the fighting game in sports champions?
Not really, though I'll try a demo if they release one.

On a side note, Disk Golf is fucking great!

Tried the table, it was difficult and I had to move the eye all over to get it in just the right place to make it think it was a floor. Thing ran around all over the place in thin air anyway.

Lens is fine, I suspect even if the camera was super dirty it wouldn't cause tracking problems since all it does is look for the big bright light and follow that. It's just because the camera is a low quality SD image stretched onto a huge HD set.

Does the gun accessory really use the ext port? I assumed it was just a plastic shell with some mechanical workings to press the buttons on the move controller.

Not sure if serious. I don't have the link, but just watch the video with the father trying to teach his son, who has obviously played WSR, how to play the Sports Champions table tennis and you'll have your answer.

OK I wasn't going to buy Move until there were more decent games but coulnt let a deal get away from me, just bought PSMove and Uncharted 2 for only £44.70.

So whats the top Move game according to GAF

Im addicted to Volleyball :lol

I haven't seen volleyball at all yet. I'm interested since I play in actual leagues, but forgot that it was in the Sports Champions package.

Please tell me that it uses both Move controllers (and uses them well)

Damn is that it, I will wait for a superior sports game that has online play at the least. What the fuck Sony, all you had to do is release a WiiSports clone with online play.

Jeeze, what does it take for you to consider a game decent enough to pick up if you're just now getting Uncharted 2?

I am a cheap bastard, I usually wait until a game hits £15 before I make a purchase, of course there are some exceptions.

It uses both and uses them fairly well. I play sand volleyball and think its a great mix between real life and video games.

Just posting, I turned in my Wii and everything for a PS3 320 gig move bundle :lol

How fast one switches! Now I have to get a Wii back later when I have more money, then I will have all three! HAHA!

But I am unboxing and setting up right now, just wanted to let you all know I got the bundle :D

Oh my goodness. I've been playing a shit ton of table tennis & I freaking love playing these tournaments with Ghostface Killa in the background. The custom soundtrack is neat little addition, and I'm amazed by how responsive this controller is! Applying spin on the ball is pretty life like...

that being said I bought Move also to play Flower & Heavy Rain with it- but Sports Champions is impressive!

I loved Beach Spikers on Gamecube can any of you guys do a quick comparasion to volleyball in SC?

EDIT: How many volleyball courts are there to play on in SC?

does Archery require 2 sticks? I'm not to keen on the idea of blowing $90 for a stick and game only to find out I need another $50 stick -_-

Any of the games can be played fine with 1 controller. A second stick just adds a bit extra to the experience.

quick question, what demos are in the starter pack, the reason I ask is so I can download the demos that are not included fromt he PStore right now. Then when my Move arrives, I will have plenty of demos to try.

The move itself is fucking amazing !!!
I just to much addicted to table tennis right now.

Waiting to buy RE5 gold edition and razing storm next with another move controller :D :D

Watching my 6 year old wack a bunch of bugs with a tennis racket on the Start The Party Demo was Priceless. She is like totally blown away by this and she has been playing with the Eyetoy and PS Eye since birth.

Is Start the Party worth $40? The two little demos were fun for my 6 year old, and I had some fun too.

bought the eu pack + sports champions + start the fucking party. table tennis is really awesome (bronze), but the "petanque" game is a nice surprise. Kids seems interested in start the party.
We need another Move controller. Fffffuuuu
