Seems very software-dependent. I've only tried it in RE5 so far, but it's not that great there. In RE5, the pointer has to center (re-calibrate) itself upon pressing the trigger. For example, if the reticle is pointing at the corner of the screen and you let go of the trigger, keep your aim in the same spot, and then pull it again, the reticle pops up in the center even though you are still pointing at the corner. I was able to adjust and shoot accurately with it, but it just isn't as precise as the Wii pointer. Maybe it will work better in other games.
The opposite could be said for Move's motion control, which is sublime and a definite improvement over Wii M+. I've only played a little of table tennis and gladiator (Sports Champions) but that aspect of Move is as good as advertised. Sports Champions is a ton of fun. I can definitely see SC being a big hit with my friends. If you like Wii Sports or WSR at all it's worth checking out.
Also, the DS3 works pretty well as a substitute for the Move-chuck. I didn't think it would but it's not bad. I'll probably return my unopened 'chuck and put the money towards a second motion controller.
