Playstation Move Thread: It Only Does Everything

No, it can't do gestures. What actions would you like there? Haven't played mag yet so don't know what they use gestures for.
I'm talking about the Kz3 videos. they are using the Move for stab and grenade throwing gestures.

So, separate matches for Move and DS3 on Killzone 3? I wanted to headshot all those DS3 so the industry stop using dual analog for FPSes. :/ And Cna't the Nav controler do gestures too? I don't think is a good idea to use Move for those (In Kz 3).

It was stated in the vid, and by Jeff that they're still playtesting and haven't decided on whether or not to split Move and DS3 players.

They aren't using the Move for grenades, the developer said they wouldn't because it would mess with aim. You hold L1 to cook, and aim with move, then release L1 to throw.

Hmmm...

Can't really get into MAG with Move. I guess it's normal, with 200 + hours into the game, but still I'm sad. I found out that I'm pretty comfortable with sniping, but run n gun is a disaster :(

Can someone explain what the settings actually mean? Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Thankfully. Gestures like grenade throw is why I hated the wii. Only use motion where motion makes sense.

Unless something changed since TTP's session with mag and move, I'd say that the move implementation sucks in mag.

Yes, the last control patch is supposed to be good.

I think people who invert their vertical camera will need to adjust to Move more. It's difficult for me too. :-)

There was a huge control update since that vid I believe.

TTP?

Yup, I can confirm that myself, since I've been in the Beta too, if only for a short time.

Yet, I'm having a difficult time due to muscle memory and so.

Yep. HUUUGE improvement. It's basically perfect now. Only issues I have are Move unrelated (lag / frame rate / clusterfuck).

Will do video shortly. Still waiting for the Navigation controller to arrive. Don't want to make another vid with the DS3.

Me too... can't believe that, my first answer I got in within 5 seconds.

Sad to ear that. I really wanted to extend the time frame by declaring winners the first 5 or so repliers, but I only had 3 codes to give away :(

Hopefully next time!

Just tested Flight Control HD ( Thanks TTP :D ).
The controls are indeed perfect with the move. Very accurate and smooth.
And the game is still fresh and catchy ^^

Glad the codes work. Game is pretty addictive. Oh, before you ask, yes, it's normal game music stops after a while. Just pause and set it to off and back on again to have it restarting.

Or just rip it somehow, save to the PS3 HDD and play it in loop via XMB custom soundtrack feature.

I saw (while buffing up on FCHD knowledge) that it's in 3D... that must look awesome... arg!

I just checked, but that seems to be pretty much as it works on my iPhone as well. :lol

Just picked my Move up, and now I'm waiting for it to charge.

What demos are worth trying out on the disc? Might as well get them installed while I wait.

Sports Champions sucks the least.

Don't waste time with TV Superstar.
Try Tumble, Start The Party! and Sports Champions.

The best demos are The Shoot, Tumble, and Echochrome II, imo.

Also, I've come to the conclusion that I really don't care for MAG. Game pisses me off. I especially love it when they make you wait 20 seconds to respawn.

Ah nice. I assume they are easy to pick up. I mean, you don't need to "extract" them from the charger by holding the latter down with the other hand right?
Yep, you literally just lift it out of the cradle, no resistance. It's a solid piece of kit (as you'd expect for 30 Euro). I thought it'd charge a lot quicker from the mains but i've had an empty move on charge from the mains now for more than 2 hours now and it's still going.

Picked up Move last night with the Sport Champion bundle and Start the Party for my Wife.
Tried Sport Champion with Table Tennis and Sword Fighting. It's fun, but I don't see a huge distinction between this and the Wii. Will try more later.
Start the Party is huge crazy fun, but I wish it had more minigames, and maybe a Mario Party-esque board. So far, though, I'm loving it and want get some of my friends or nieces and nephews to try it.
LOVED the beat sketcher demo. I spent 45 minutes just drawing stuff on the screen.
Going to try Echochrome 2 demo next. Loved the trailer, so I'm stoked.

Man, though, the Camera adds more like a hundred pounds. These games are a good incentive to lose weight.

Picked up a navigation controller along with RUSE and it controls brilliantly - if the PS3 doesn't start getting an influx of move-supported strategy games, it'll be a crying shame as this has to be the best way to play strategy titles on console by far. Other than RUSE, the only motion enabled strategy game I can think of is Anno: Create a New World on the Wii. I demand MOAR!!

Don't worry, I'm sure I'll be able to find some custom Sinatra-esque music to go with the flow of planes :D

Accidental discovery today. You can use Move as a pretty crappy Bluray remote. :lol

I'm an expert at navigating everything with the Move at this point. I've even typed (short) messages with it a few times, hah. Too lazy to grab the controller/chatpad.

Me too! Heh. If it added a pointer and made the keyboard larger, it would work far better I think.

Same here.

However, I occasionally get impatient and go too fast.

"Hmm, let's see...I wanna say 'yeah' in response to this message."

"Ok, Y. Got it."

"E is next. WHOA NOT Q. SHIT NOT P. NO GO BACK TO E. CRAP NOW I JUST WENT DOWN TO X. OK ok ok...calm down. Nice and easy. E. Got it!"

"Oh look, 'yeah' is in the predictive text now. Just gotta select that. Got it - ohhh wait no I just went back to Q again. Now back to the text, now back to Q. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH."

*gets keyboard out which was 2ft away the whole time*

"yeah."

*send*

:)

It has only been 3 hours into my first charge out of the box, and the light on the Move is solid red.

Isn't it supposed to be 4-5 hours?

You're using the controller during the first charge out of the box?

Most people say it takes 4 hours. And it does. It also takes 4 hours every time, not just the first time.

Sorry, maybe I worded that oddly.

I meant I took it out of the box and started charging, and after 3 hours it's already solid red.

Mine are charged with less than 30 min. Where did you get that 4hrs number?

That's what I mean, if it's solid red, that means the controller is on and it's fully charged. Not that it really makes a huge difference, but I thought I read in some Li-ion battery based products that you should always charge it undisturbed and off for the first time.

This would mean, when it's 100% charged, the blinking light stops and there are no lights on.

Anyways, if it took you 3 hours, I wouldn't be concerned. That's close enough to 4. Use it until it says the battery is low, and then I bet the charge will take 4 hours. Yours probably just had more power in it from the start so it only took 3 hours.

lol, you're both doing it wrong.

I think he's saying he expects it to LAST 4 hours (i think it lasts a lot longer)

And as mentioned above, solid red is good. That's how you know it's on.

EDIT: re-reading and i'm not sure what's up. were you just complaining that it didn't take as long as you expected to fully charge? if so, then yeah, it probably had a good charge on it still from the factory.
