Playstation Move Thread: It Only Does Everything

Monster Hunter with Sports Champions 1:1 controls (Archery, Gladiator, etc) would be outstanding.
It would actually be a fucking nightmare.

Do you have an idea of how many arrows one needs to kill a Lao-Shan Lung? :lol

We would have arms falling all around.

The idea is sound though. I think we will see something along those lines in Sorcery and hopefully in Demon Souls 2.

Going by the description provided by most, they all are (mechanical)

That EXT port really is still a mystery at this point.

By the way, second part of my 3rd party accessories tour is up ;)

as far as your baseball bat comment...I think there was suppose to be a patch for Little League World Series for the PS3. They also have a Wii version, so I'm guessing it is suppose to play very similar to that.... I don't know how precise it will be, but I think it will be more casual....for children sake.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but there is serious problems calibrating the Move with the new Time Crisis Raizing Storm (the pirate game calibration does not work at all).

This also happened in the demo, but it was the only game I didn't try.

I think it may have to do with the Move color and my environment. It would be nice if I could just manually cycle through colors to find the most effective one.

Yeah, this must be local as I had no issue with my calibration (for the demo anyway). I will be picking up the retail tomorrow, so hopefully everything is working well.

He went to the Namco event and played it. Fast forward to 57 minutes into the podcast to get his impression. Try to ignore the negative nancy outbursts of Lahey.

I was listening to this and missed it. Its episode 29 and you're right about the description. Leahy being all douchey about hand locations and calibration. He didn't even try it and goes as far as to being critical about the arcade nature of the game. :lol :lol JC was very positive.

I bought the PS3 Move Quad Dock Pro by Dreamgear.

Pros:
- Charger two DS3, one Move and one Nav unit.
- Has two additional USB ports.
- Light around controller blinks red when charging, blue/red when almost done and stays blue when charged.
- Cheap at $25 for four devices.
- Compact size and looks nice as long as you can stand the blue lighting around the sides.

Cons:
- Uses USB port for Move charging, no fancy contact charging.
- Cannot charge two Moves, the round ports are sized differently and not adjustable as far as I see.
- Manual says turn off after charging is complete, but there is no switch. If it stops charging when it's done then why does it need to be off? Will it over charge?

Assuming it does not hurt my batteries it is a good buy, just not high end like the official one.

Nice! :lol[/QUOTE]

My wife "accidentally" suggested me the joke while I was in the process of filming the charging station. "What's that? Looks like an eggs holder", she said. And the joke was born. :lol

I grabbed an official Shooting Attachment with The Shoot, and it's a really solid accessory.

I like how the Move strap passes through the back and you can pop open the door and charge it without taking the controller out. There's also little felt pads in the case to hold it snugly without rattling around or anything. Trigger is nice and smooth feeling.

The Shoot isn't out in Canada 'till tomorrow for some reason, but I've see the gun shells and Time Crisis today.

OH! Time Crisis not out for 2 weeks?

Time Crisis is out? I thought it got bumped to November 2nd. I had it on OP but decided to remove it after every other website showing it as preorder.

Thanks for the pictures. I'm especially curious about the trigger - I remember hearing early impressions that your trigger finger would get easily fatigued because the trigger had such a long range of motion. Any truth to that?

Yes, it's out. Gamefly shipped me a copy today.

The thing I worry about is the games where the trigger isn't the trigger, if you know what I mean...

It does have a pretty long range of motion, but haven't played enough that it's an issue. So it's possible.

It wouldn't work with RE5 at all. There's no way to hit the Move button and the trigger with one hand.

wait what? is time crisis out in canada today or not?

what I'm wondering is how these types of gun shells will work for games where you ALSO need to hit other buttons, like Time Crisis. I read somewhere that you use the Move button to raise your shield... Seems a little awkward.

Can anyone comment?

I have no idea. I was in EB and the manager asked if I got a call for my Time Crisis pre-order. He said his staff should have called me and it would be available tomorrow (today)

The move is finally coming out in Japan the day after tomorrow!!! I've been following this thread since the US launch, but it's finally time to get my hands on it!! I'm really excited. I'm getting the Beat sketcher starter pack btw.

available since the week of Move's release :)
Basically, the PAL store kept their promise and uploaded every demo from the starter disc on the first day (Time Crisis demo is not on the PAL disc).

edit: not sure if the Tiger Woods demo was also on the PAL disc

Good point, I'd also like to know this.

If I can buy Time Crisis today, I will answer anyones questions, including the one about the shield button with regards to the gun peripheral. I'd like to know if you can use the nav controller for the shield control instead.

Basically you're just holding the front portion of the gun with you other hand and the thumb pressing on face buttons.

The thing about Time Crisis is that pressing any face button will raise the shield, so you don't have to press Move button exclusively.

The one I'm using is this:

MOVE-Precision-Shot-3.jpg

Or you can press buttons on the optional nav attachment.

It would definitely make MAG impossible to play with.

Unless you have three hands.

That's why I think only this:

and this:

PlayStation+Move+Submachine+Gun.jpg

Will work with shooters that require both Move and Nav, where the trigger is located at the front portion instead where it usually belongs. With one of you hands pulling triggers and thumb pressing face buttons on the Move, while the other hand controls movements and L1/L2 on the Nav.

It should be awkward, but the best way to play MAG/KZ3 with plastic attachments.

Something I noticed that you guys should keep in mind is that 3rd party gun attachments sometimes don't have a slot in the back or anywhere to accommodate the wrist strap. This means every time you want to play a shooting game and use your attachment you have to take off the strap.

Not a huge deal, but IMO it would be annoying so I'm only considering the official Sony one at this point.

Not to pimp Precision Shot 3 here, I'm sure the official one works just as fine. It has a hollow hole at the end, just like the Sony one.

Is there likely to be a Demon's Souls 2 though? What with Atlus making a "spiritual successor" that's multiplat?

Seems to me that SCEJ would have to make it themselves, would be a great way to sell the peripheral though.

I have a strange issue with The Shoot (the demo). After calibration (and I'm calibrating correctly) the cursor drifts like mad to the left of the screen. If I hold steady in the center, it drifts to the edge of the screen within 15 seconds!

I haven't had any drifting issues with Sports Champions or Tumble.

Try the gyro calibration in the XMB.

anyone who's got both the official Sony gun and the Precision Shot 3, which one do you prefer? I've currently got a Precision Shot 3, but wanted to pick up a 2nd to play some multiplayer gun games, and can't decide which to get as my 2nd.

The Precision 3 has the advantage of the navigation controller clip-on, but it feels a little bulky to me. The official one looks smaller and maybe more comfortable to use.

Also, has anyone tried any of the quad charging stations? The reviews on Amazon make the CTA Digital one sound horrible, but Dreamgear supposedly has one out. Anyone have it?

I have both.
The official is better in my opinion with a less bulky feeling and more comfy grip.

I think the biggest thing, as I stated before, is that the move controller is better centered on the official so it doesn't imbalance the gun.

The Precision Shot has the Move controller too far forward making it feel imbalanced. Then again the precision was also made with 2 hands in mind so that's probably why they did it?
