The game starts, I get to the main menu. But then (after "Press X") it refuses to actually load. I don't think the game checks for a valid PS+ subscription in-game?

Trying disabling network on the system, the game may get stuck checking for cloud save sync or something if it thinks it's online.

Wow, now that is impressive. It was one of the few online games I enjoyed for a couple of weeks after it launched. I might give it another go.

I don't usually enjoy online games either, but LID's uniqueness made it an exception.

There's been a plenty of QOL improvements and additions since the launch, but not much new content for quite a while. Veterans mostly continue to play for fun, and to collect more Skill Decals.
