Im clearing room on my memory card for the sale tomorrow. I havent played uncharted golden abyss much, should I just delete it? It hasnt given me a very good impression so far (only played it for an hour or so)

Toto got ran out, he's now on twitter.

Actually there was some people that was tired of Toto's attitude. He never bothered me, IMO it gave a different vision to most things (he was quite a unique guy).

The thread is not the same without him.

Hope Killa returns soon. Are we going to keep the hall of f

Toto was and is fine, great contributor on my Twitter feed.

Anybody know when we might hear news of the next Vanillaware game? I think it's safe to say that it's coming to Sony systems after the success of Dragon's Crown. Are they still working on Muramasa DLC?

Not always, just this time and when it comes to PSone games :p

Muramasa DLC should be out in NA soon. Not sure what the availability is for EU, since the game was delayed due to the publishing stuff, I think... you guys got it much later than we did, so I'm not sure if that will impact western DLC releases as well or if you'll see them around the same time as NA.

I don't agree with the PSone games sentiment... You guys have Crash and Spyro. I'm not sure there's anything in NA-only that I would treasure more than having those available... at least the Crash games.

fill it with a new retail game ;)

Like what. Vita isn't getting a new retail game (especially a large 3+gb one) anytime soon, let alone one that I want to buy.

I feel like I've been possessed by Toto... but it's all true.

Thanks!

I don't recall ever seeing the FF7 - 9 PS1 games going on sale, but they've definitely did sales on Dissidia, Tactics, and all the other PSP games around the time when the Vita launched. Which reminds me... I still wish they'd bring Crisis Core and the PSP ports of FF1+2 to PSN.

No problem. I wish I could speak from experience, but I soured on PW when it killed my second PS3 and I haven't been back to it since.

I want to play those too... but of course, we won't ever get them most likely. I think EU has the PSP ports of FF1&2 (though based on my time with FF2 via GBA, that game was terribad).

Ah I see. Guess I'll buy it anyways and figure it out later. :P

Patch is 362mb currently.
So whatever the size on the store is + 362mb. I wonder if I have space or if I have to delete some PSP games.

Really? I'd buy Peace Walker and double-dip on Spelunky in a heart-beat at those prices, maybe even buy Killzone. The PS+ prices are really good compared to what we're getting.

I want PW on PS3 and no interest in the rest of those. Some of the prices are good yea, but not the prices on the one thing I actually want (Rayman)

Heads up, VitaGAF.

Zero no Kiseki Evolution is on sale for 2940 yen until around the end of the month (29th, I think but not sure).

This song(s) were awesome: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxnemHKKh0g

Planning to buy Zero Evo along with the 3rd.

After that, the only one I haven't bought yet would be Ao no Kiseki (Evolution). Not really interested in Nayuta no Kiseki.

P.S. There's a "電撃PlayStation Plus Vol. 1" exclusive to Vita PS Store and PS+ subscribers (the magazine is free).

It's basically a stripped down Dengeki PS, and its' contents are one month old. But the kicker is that it will give you those "Dengeki magazine-exclusive" DLCs (emailed to you a month later). Vol. 1 had DLCs for Shin Sangoku Musou, Shin Rorona Atelier, Neptune Re;birth1, Fairy Fencer F, Akiba's Trip 2, and Extetra. Yeah, FFF is a PS3 game.

P.P.S. You can no longer get the DLCs from Vol. 1 since the deadline to download it was Dec 31, 23:59. You can still get the magazine until they update the store tomorrow, but no DLCs will be mailed. Sorry, I completely forgot to tell VitaGAF about this. But might as well mention it in case Dengeki PS+ Vol. 2 goes up this month.

Dude. 50hz. PSone on the EU PSN might as well not exist.

As for Muramasa, I'm not really interested in the DLC (even though I'm turning around a bit on the main game) but I assume we won't hear anything about their next game until all the DLC is out.

How is Killzone Mercenary? $9.00 seems like a great deal.
I'm REALLY enjoying it. Playing through the missions for the nth time for the different objective types. Haven't taken it online yet, but that's supposed to be good as well.

EDIT: And amazing for that price. I paid around £14 in the EU sale before Christmas and I've more than got my moneys worth.

I am confused by Sly Cooper 4. I have it on PS3, which means I have a voucher for it on Vita. Is it the same game, or are they different? I am assuming it's the same, but you never know.

Also, I have the MGS HD Collection. Any reason I would want Peace Walker on Vita, other than just to play it portably?

I don't think Peace Walker comes with the MGS HD Collection on the Vita. The biggest thing with PW on PS3 is the controls are much better with the second analog, you're stuck with weird aiming on the PSP version.

Sorry I mean I have the Legacy Collection on PS3. That's my bad.

Omg, mercenary just 9usd?, i need it now but i don't have enough memory space (8GB with 3.3 used by blazblue xd... and others)

So what score (out of 10) would you give that game anyway? If I do pick it up, I might send you a picture with a note on my copy saying "Happy Suppa?" :P

short review as I got work in a few mins.

When you first enter into the game, please don't expect a story from the likes of IX, VI, or XII. This is a Toriyama game. The man who brought you fine titles such as Final Fantasy X-2 and Final Fantasy XII - Revenant Wings. However, if you are one of the foolish few to stay with the XIII FNC subseries all these years you will be happy with the conclusion.

The battle system is basically the pride and joy for this game. In my personal opinion, it is by far the best battle system in JRPGs to date. It just flows smoothly. Combine that with the costume changing (which basically changes your class mid battle) and it makes every fight amazing.

Another area that LR shines on is the OST. Square rarely if ever dissapoints in this depart.
ending credits. blinded by light + prelude at the end? I was about to tear like a bitch
final boos battle theme, imo, it's up there with Dancing Mad.
smooth as shit chocobo
upbeat battle theme

However, Square was very very lazy in the graphics department. Some textures are "PS2" quality, and it is very disapointing to see "painted" enviroments.
NPC can sometimes act very stupid. But for a "open world" game, the land is pretty amazing for what they pumped out in suched a rushed ammount of time.

Custimization is amazing. The ammount of costumes is simply amazing and they all do a different set of jobs. My only gripe with this is the nature of some of the costumes are too fanservicy. Don't get me wrong, I love some jiggle jiggle action like the next person, but it simply does not fit the character of Lightning.

Also the 13
actually 14
day thing can be kinda intimidating.

Quests can also be very mundane.

I honestly give it a 8/10. It's a decent JRPG but it's not gonna change the opinions for many about the XIII triliogy. It has much potential and if Square took a lil more time with it would've of ended the triliogy with a high note. but with like with every FF title, I love it in it's own little way.

For you and for others who didn't really enjoy the XIII trilogy, I'll suggest you go into the game with a open mind. :)

On a personal note, I really don't care the reception that this game will get. It will not change my opinion on it. But I would be lying If I said I wouldn't be a gleeful smug little bastard if LR does manage to get good reviews. It will a sort of "fuck you" to all those people who have given me shit because I was one of the few who enjoyed XIII for what it was. Sounds a wee bit immature, but hey.

Time to get a bigger card! ;)

Erm, does that have PW HD in it?
If so, then...

(1) Yes, it's the same game with some technical sacrifices to fit it on Vita -- you can cross-save and it has the separate trophy lists, I think... but if you own the PS3 copy, why haven't you used your voucher for the Vita version? :)

(2) If you want to transfar your save to take with you on Vita. That's the main reason.

2.Sold my Vita last year for funds, getting one tomorrow from a friend for a good deal.
3.Thanks!

PSN or Retail?

Digital. Falcom's PS The Best takes a while because they know they're awesome and people will buy their games eventually. :P

Though they had a sale waaaaay back in 2013-March for some leftover copies of the Zero no Kiseki Evolution Collector's Edition (or Premium whatever it's called). And it was cheap as fuck (3500 yen IIRC).

I wanna keep going Digital coz customs fucks me over. I'm all ready to support dev, but not the corrupt guys at customs.

Question for my Vita bros out there, what are the must buys going on sale tomorrow? I'm seeing Killzone getting the love but anything else I should be looking for?

Also if I buy bit.trip for the ps3 will I have access to it on Vita? Not sure if it's crossbuy or not.

it's not cross-buy

So Eufloria HD. I'm really liking it so far despite my inherent dislike for touch-only controls on a device that has perfectly functioning buttons. I'll be posting my final impressions in a bit, after I finish up trophy gathering, but so far I've gotten more then my $10 out of this game and will probably be playing around with it well into 2014.

Well, I gave DmC a chance.

Been playing MGR:Revengeance on PC all week, combined with playing GOD HAND occasionally, I thought I could give DmC a shot.

I cant do it. I had to delete it from my HD, It was horrendously boring.

every time I look at my IGC on the SEN webpage my heart skips a beat. Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen should be there but I always have to search for it manually to confirm whether I still have it or not :lol

I'll be getting Killzone Mercenaries.

I have 22 dollars, I don't know what else to get...
Rain, Puppeteer, Spelunky, Thomas Was Alone, Velocity, Limbo. That should be... All your money. Unless Killzone is part of the $22.

Yep doing those mission with randoms is such a pain.

edit: is 10pm-11pm est good for you?

Should be -- I'm waiting for something I have to do for work, but that shouldn't take long and I can do it while I'm playing some anyway... I'll hop on my Vita around 10pm.

Considering it's an NT game, I was impressed and I had fun with the combat system. It's sort of like a musou game meets character action... but I played on PC @ 60fps... which makes a difference to me in these types of games. I wouldn't want to play the wonderful console version in it's 30fps glory.

Gonna pick up Crysis 3 and (finally) Velocity Ultra in that PSN sale. Might also grab Double Dragon for some more bro-op.

Great multiplayer shooter. Campaign is somewhat lackluster. It's very pretty too.

You're lackluster. :P
The campaign was one of the better shooter campaigns I've played in recent memory.

^yep - campaign is decent for a handheld of course, but it's mediocre by standards since cod4's campaign. Seems kinda generic, but still excellent game, great fun in MP. Free maps coming, BOTMODE dlc too.

Is that $9 for the digital version?

Bloody hell, great deal wtf! [insta-buy]

Glad US got some good deals too, finally :)

What? Call of Duty 4's campaign is nothing but corridors with endlessly spawning enemies. Mercenary honestly has one of the best shooter campaigns I've played in a while. Crysis 1 being at the top for this generation.

Yeah, it's a really great game. I'm just addicted to the multiplayer. I wasn't expecting the campaign to be on the same scale as the console titles, but the story and pacing barely holds up imo. Shame too, because there are some great moments too, like
fighting alongside the Helghast bodyguard.

I'm liked mind with the poo/ Maybe we can do the Crysis MP trophies together?

Ya, I'm down. Are you getting any of the DLC for Ghosts btw? I know we still need to finish the Point of Contact map, but the new Extinction level looks great.

CoD4 is great because of how it placed players in cinematic moments, rather than just leaving everything to cutscenes. It was one of the first games to really nail that aspect and that's why it's so revered. Not to mention the story was pretty decent, though that was also because the player was a part of the game's events rather than a bystander.

agree with you on Crysis 1 being amazing though. Playing that game on Delta difficulty is so much fun.
