Thanks to Itachi and Cyborg I can now retire from Soul Sacrifice.
Wonderful game. I spent over 175 hours with it, according to my playtime clocks. :)
congrats!
Nice job. I probably only have about 80 hours in the game, but I'm just waiting for SS Delta at this point.
I'm at like 190. I don't remember how much I put into the demo but I do remember that it was ridiculous.

can't wait for delta too. only thing I've seen was a minute or so of the combo moves. looks like so much fun. so ready for some new offerings.

Yes, and SS Delta costs about ¥1000 less than the original price of SS.

I think $30 is still too much for western gamers. We aren't used to that kind of expanded versions, which are common to the hunting genre in Japan. Hope Sony prices it lower, definitely interested in more SS but I would also prefer a DLC solution.

Looking forward to the Toukiden demo, maybe it will be my next hunting game instead.

Didn't notice you replied. It's a pretty bad port tbh. Frame rate is meh, low res textures, and it's subnative. At the same time I don't care TOO much (it still annoys me) since it's just Worms after all. Was worth the $3.75 I paid for it. Comes with all the DLC too!

I think I edited the post in a bit later, thanks for the reply. Seems about how I'd feel since it's worms..although some of the weapons may be tough to control if framerate is that bad. Will probably grab it if they don't put out another one, although they usually do. I'm not desperate for it of course...maybe if we get a good sale (probably just before the new n improved :P).

Liking OlliOlli quite a bit. Slightly worried for the future health of my leftstick though! May need to be more careful when playing, just in case. I snap back on it pretty hard with that game.

If any of you ever see a Flandy posting on reddit I just want to let you know that it is not me :P

So you are still pure? That's nice to hear xd

How do you see your playtime? My main objective with SS was defeating Magusar before Toukiden launches, but id like to finish more pacts. Im at VI right now.

Sfxt isn't that bad. It is just random.

Once In a convention a friend challenge me to have a match in SFxT. I was pretty bad, so i choose White and Black Toro as my team, at least itd be funny that way. They almost do no damage, but my friend couldn't hit me and I ended with a good bunch of people laughing and cheering me. In the end i lose, but it really was fun xd

I dont know why I ve told this, but whatever...

It'd be amazing if the game launches at 30e. That means 25 in amazon lol

Like I said I haven't played too much of it yet. Frame rate feels like its less than 30 but that might just be because it's unstable. It's perfectly playable though and I don't believe it will affect that muchl. Maybe with ropes? I'm not sure since I was never very good with them to begin with.

I have a reddit account. I just don't use it, like ever. I made a post on /r/vita but that's really only because bluemaximas there :P

How would they even add that SSD "expansion" as a DLC , everything would have to be changed.

Here is list of changes, it updates occasionally

I think it would be better making it 15-20 eur upgrade for SS owners to capitalise on those plus users and 25-30 eur and standalone version.

Oh and it better have complete new set of trophies :D

Toukiden Demo might be a bad demo but the game is pretty, and i like it more than Monster Hunter games. It might be the art style and monsters i dont know but it feels very well, Tecmo Koei sure is bringing some nice looking games to Vita, Lets hope to get some New games from them in the future and not only ports(not that i dont like them , i have every Tecmo Koei game released on NA)

Is it really a bad demo? Most of the complaints about the demo I've heard were from the first Japanese demo that was pretty much a beta version.

I mean it has all the weapon types, full character customisation, the ability to play online, ability to transfer save to the retail copy etc... What more could you want from it?

Does anyone have a site that has reliable (and regularly updated) UK PS4 game release information? Digital and retail would be great, but retail only is fine as well - I have the PS blog to keep me up to speed on PSN titles.

MCV maybe? To be honest I use a mixed bag of that and various retailers.

More bosses.A good demo might be for example Soul Sacrifice one, you can see the full potential of the game there, but in Toukiden Demo you only have a small glimpse of what the game will turn into. Im pretty sure the full game is much better than the demo in terms of potential. The demo itself shows how good it looks thou. In Soul Sacrifice i knew exactly what i will get thanks to the demo.

Yeah, I stumbled across that one which looks OK. Just realised I'm woefully out of touch with retail releases (only realised TR is out next week because of that framerate thread). Going to trade in KZSF (not really a fan) and NFS (what was I thinking?) and pre-order it tomorrow I think.

Fair enough, I think Soul Sacrifice went kind of above and beyond as far as demos go. I wouldn't expect that kind of content in a demo 90% of the time.

I thought the demo did a great job at conveying everything you'll get to do in the full game. It even has online. The MH demos are the awful ones. Those demos just send you into an area with often awful equipment and expect you to know how to do everything. Not only that but the MH demos don't have any of the looting, crafting, etc. which is a large part of what makes MH enjoyable. So many people get turned off of the MH series from the demo. I think the Toukiden demo was great. Sold me on the game, whereas before I had no expectations for it.

The Japanese Toukiden demo was definitely worse though. That was similar to how the MH demos are done. Didn't really show anything besides how the combat (for 3 weapons) was in comparison to other raid games.

Yeah the MH3U demo sucked. Two monsters, no instruction for newbies. Although it did give you some really good armour and weapons to work with, I bet most people really struggled with it and passed on the full game because of it.

Shit, I just remembered that I bought Valhalla Knights 3 last night when I was drunk. It was under a tenner and the description said something about 'classes', so I figured it was an RPG. I passed out before it finished downloading. Have I made a huge mistake?

Nice~ I've been watching SFxT matches regularly the past year, and there are times when you see some slick combos in matches.

I don't know why people here talk about buying things while being drunk. It's rather curious.

Bah, subnative res boobs aren't life. qHD or refund.

The demo had like the whole Sortiara arc and 6-8 Avalon Pacts, right? And with online play. Hope Delta demo have the same kind of contents + import save from SS.

'Cause the PSN store is accessible from anywhere so it's easy to impulse buy shit when you're intoxicated?

That's my guess. Hadn't realised it was an affliction shared by many though, that's reassuring.

It's even better when you buy physical goods and forget you ordered them. It's like getting a present delivered from drunk you to yourself.

So there is an FF sale. Never played an FF game other then FF7 for a couple of hours.

What would you reccomend ?

EDIT: I've also had a really annoying problem with the SEN Store on my internet browser. It always tells me that the website isn't available. Anyone experiencing the same.

FF7-9 are all good, though 8 is my least favourite of the three.

Getting quite addicted to OlliOlli. I'm pretty bad at it, but getting better, not pressing X to grind is happening a lot less frequently now

FF 7, 9 and Tactics for me are the best of the best that are available on Playstation platforms.

Wait for US PSN to have the sale, unless you are using an EU account on your Vita.
In which case get:
FF1 and 2 PSP
FF4 PSP
FFT: War of the Lions
Dissidia 012
The PSX FF games suffer from being unoptimized 50 Hz.

About to buy Tony Hawk Shred for PS3 with the board for £3. It's like a Steam sale, but with a shitty skateboard thing!

EDIT: I am so going to LTTP this

It's safer for me financially to avoid turning on any console or visiting Amazon while intoxicated. I know that struggle.

Cool FF9 is my fav., but FYI it's battles are really slow, but the story, setting and characters are great.
If per chance you end up not liking it because of the slow battles...maybe consider trying the NTSC/US PSN ver. if it goes on sale?

I would totally buy this if I found a deal like that on it. A while back I saw DJ Hero with the turntable for less than ten bucks, and have been kicking myself ever since for not picking it up. I don't own any games like it, with the peripherals that tis; but at those prices it's a steal.

Now, if I could only find a Steel Batallion at that price.... /end OG xbox love

Oh yes. You are not alone in this...I have done it many a time, and I remember reading about other Vitacat's intoxicated purchases over the months with all the crazy sales.

I haven't played any before 7, but the PSP Dissidia games are GREAT action/fighting hybrid type games, but their combat system is a little unconvential from typical games like it. Their stories are a little crazy, and it is VERY heavy on easter eggs & FF trivia, so fanboys go nuts over it, but newcomers might not get all the little things. I never got Duodecum Dissidia 2 or however it's named, but I put over 160 hours on the first Dissidia. SO great. I believe there are demos of these two games, but the Dissidia 2 demo is a premium demo that costs money, I believe, unless they have released another demo since it was released. As far as traditional FF games, 7, 8, 9...9 is a great choice.

I am jelly though, I missed the last NA FF sale by one day. I was going to get the entire series....so I could recitfy my lack of earlier FF'ing.

Toro really needs to be exposed more in the west.

and not through SFxT, a janky ass fighting game who I will not name or a slave simulator

Toro could star in a platformer game.

Or they could go with his original purpose and make a chatbot app.

As for hunting game demo Soul Sacrifice has really given us the idea how the overall game would be. The first Toukiden demo took MH3U's path but soon KT released SS-esque demo also.

Thanks to Inafune for SS and his decision to release such demo.
