Err. . . Don't know if this has already been asked but, do we have the list (either rumored or confirmed) for the upcoming IGC February releases on PS+ for the US?

Outlast...
I used to be decent at thinking of titles that might be on PS+, but January threw a wrench in that.

Cyber Sled. Terrible PS1 offering. Played it recently. What little there is to it, is terrible.

Interested in the Firemen game, though. Wouldn't mind a simple old-school game like that for the Vita.

Thanks for the recommendations, guys. I'll check out Brothers and Binary Domain.

Vanquish is short too
Finished it about a year ago, loved every second of it.

BF3, galaga
I somehow missed BF3 when it was on PS+, and I think I've played enough Galaga to last me a lifetime. @_@

Can't wait for Outlast.

MGS Collection on Vita really, really could benefit from being native res. I've straight up walked past enemies in the jungle because I couldn't even see them, blending in with all the other muddy textures. Going from a beautiful looking game like Toukiden to this jaggie, blurry mess just keeps reaffirming my stance that all Vita games should be forced to native res. Don't even know why they kept the "HD" in the title, none of these are close to HD and Stevie Wonder could tell you that.

The definition still higher than in PS2.Native res could be good but i think is a great port , i guess you should play it on the big screen if you have so many problems with the supposely muddy and super jaggy textures. For me the game looks fine and a thousand times better than MGS3DS. I have never had problems not seeing anything on the game becouse of the resolution , you should play more carefully. And please dont buy Peace walker on Vita if you complain about this...

Edit: The menus are native res so they are kinda HD

Need some help:

I bought a slim ps vita and I currently own the old model with a 16gb card.

1. Do I sign into PSN on the slim then just put the memory card from my old vita into my new vita then deactivate my account on the old vita?

Actually, I think that's wrong.

Go into content manager backup everything to PC, connect new vita up and first format? the memory card which was taken from the old vita then transfer everything. Would I have to deactivate my account on my old vita afterwards?

Turn both Vitas off. Take the memory card out of the old Vita, and put it in the new Vita. Voila.

Also, I would recommend deactivating your PSN account on the old Vita if you won't be using it anymore.

Serious? I'm currently backing up my data now lolz. I'll just go through with it atm.

So all you do in just swap the memory card, I can't stuff that up.

Thank you.

Question,

Has Lord of Shadows been a ps+ game before?

I ask as I am interested in the second game and have yet to play the first (because its still not cheap in Aus).

Hoping it becomes a ps+ game in the near future if it hasnt already.

Now that the slim vita uses micro USB my cradle is now useless with it, plus bonus stupid question.

Could I format my old memory card, then deactivate and restore to factory settings on my old vita right now, and then once I get my new vita I put in the new memory card and that's it?

Is really this Olli Olli game so good? is not Gaf Hyperbole running over us again? I mean the game looks like a PSM game but the price is much higher than that.

BTW Thanks Takao for responding! it was very helpful

Hey vitafam,

I'm looking for a strategy rpg like final fantasy tactics advance...I say advance because I really enjoyed the skill learning mechanic being tied to weapons and their use. I don't think tactics ogre has that kind of mechanic, and I have tried the war of the lions, but didn't enjoy the steep difficulty curve. What do you guys reccomend for the the vita?

I'd say Tactics Ogre, but I don't know any other SRPG on the Vita. I'd like to know if there are any others.

The physical release of Tactics was on sale a couple years ago during december. And it was discounted on the EU store.

As for SRPGs, try Jeanne D-Arc

As well as the other VitaGaffers i would recommend Tactics Ogre, Jeanne D'Arc, War of Lions, i could say maybe the Disgaea Saga, Wild Arms XF and Ragnarok Tactics

if you go digital you can get this bundle https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-us/games/the-ikemen-bundle/cid=UP1024-NPUB50079_00-B000000000000203

Gentleman,

I completely despise Killzone and think it is one of the worst console FPS franchises in history. I enjoyed Haze more than Killzone 2, which really is saying something.

However, I have seen Killzone Mercenaries for cheap... Is it different enough that I may find some enjoyment out of it, or is it my worst nightmares condensed into a card?

That depends. What haven't you liked about Killzone up to this point?

It feels slow and clunky to me and the enemies seems to lack variety.

Woah, I never said I liked Haze. It's just ever so slightly higher the bottom of the barrel for me. Also, Giana Sisters rocked my C64, but obviously Mario is still better.

FPS probably is not your genre at least in Playstation, i mean Killzone 3 is a perfect example of how shooters should look and feel and Mercenary is far from a cheap videogame beleive me.
I only can say one thing, if you dont like Killzone stay away from Mercenary , as it is an excelent Killzone game.

Wild arms xf. Not exactly the same mechanic as you describe, but its a very unique srpg. Have a very different feel than fft or tactics ogre. One thing I like is that it encourage you to try many classes since some classes are more suited for some mission more than other. Sometimes it's even a necessity since just clearing the objectives are hard enough let alone trying to defeat every enemy like in most other srpg.

What's with the difficulty spike in the Muramasa DLC? Already had problems with the first fight and the second bossfight is just beyond crazy.

The new character really plays different but I don't like the cat form that much. Charging ranged attacks isn't my style and I haven't really got the timing nailed down. The human form is my favorite but also a spirit sink. The neverending dash ability is great for juggling enemies to death.
Would have preferred a real third form instead of the avatar special move.

The skill tree is a nice replacement for the sword smith.
Overall, the DLC changed much to feel fresh and having more Muramasa is nice. The difficulty is maybe just too hard.

Hey guys, Dokuro is worth £2.39, right?

Also, there's no chance of it coming onto the IGC because it's so cheap, I'd expect?

Seems like the FF sale is coming to US this week, with a limited selection (no VII or VIII) though. Right side is with additional Plus discount.

Final Fantasy IX -- $5.99 / $5.39
Final Fantasy Origins -- $5.99 / $5.39
Final Fantasy XIII-2 -- $9.99 / $8.99
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Collector’s Edition -- $35.39 / $32.39
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Standard Edition -- $23.99 / $21.59
Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy -- $9.99 / $8.99
Dissidia Final Fantasy -- $9.99 / $8.99
Final Fantasy III -- $9.99 / $8.99
Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection -- $9.99 / $8.99
Final Fantasy Tactics: The War Of The Lions -- $4.99 / $4.49
Final Fantasy V -- $5.99 / $5.39

IX is the only one I still need, so at least that's included.

Minecraft & Borderlands 2. The silence on both (release date snafus aside) is concerning.

We may know those release dates in January 31th event, along with the Vita 2000 and the rebranded Vita TV presentation. I'm not expecting new announcements since it isn't streamed everywhere like other events.

I think that game was already released on EU IGC...

Yessssssssssssssssssssss. We'll get more info later in Monday when the US Blog updates, though some of the Plus discounts are hilarious, just 10% extra discount?
Last year all games were 50% off with no Plus discounts.
