I understand that at the end of the day it's only really a positive talking point for their marketing of Plus and not some sort of ironclad position on the service, but it certainly hurts the narrative that they've cultivated if they either abandon that stance or show that the bar that they've set doesn't necessarily apply to their own in-house titles. It would also be hailed by critics of Sony's paywalling of MP behind Plus that they were right in forecasting a significant dithering of quality from future PS+ titles now that PS4 owners are essentially "forced" to subscribe to the service to get the most out of the system and its games. I don't really buy into that last point as I feel the service has been excellent given that we're technically still in the launch window of the system, but I still think that it would be odd for Sony to offer Knack as a PS+ title this year. Maybe during the holidays when you once again have parents thinking about getting a PS4 for their kids, but before then? I doubt it.
