Playstation Plus Games June - NBA2K16 and Gone Home

I added all six games to my cart, looked at them for a few seconds and then closed the browser.

This is the first month I won't even add them to my list. I'm sure NBA is a good enough game, I just know I will never play it, like I will never play any of these other games (except Gone Home which I played on PC and disliked).

Gone home was pretty disappointing after all the hype. Audio was damn annoying with headphones as well.

Nba2k16 is still installing lol. I just kind of want to play that corny story mode just to see how bad it is.

I wonder if The Evil Within will be the July PS+ title, considering its one of the Japanese games this month.

i just bought it this month.... i hope it is something else :/

But it is a candidate especially if a sequel is about to be announced at e3

Why not just add them?..

Gone Home was very underwhelming.

I get it that the game was trying to toy with you and what you are expecting the game to be about. And it told the story of a lesbian couple and a dad who was raped as a child and having major pain with his marriage and life as a author.

But everything just felt sort of flat. This felt like Everybody Gone To the Rapture in terms of a good story but boring world. I wasn't expecting anything dark or supernatural even when I saw the red hair dye. But I was excited seeing something dark and something supernatural happening.

I feel very turned off because nothing exciting happened. I spotted the "They're just teasing me nothing bad is going to happen to me" from a mile away. Which ended up ruining my experience because I saw the twist.

I really wish this game had something supernatural then turn to the "it's not what you expect" card.

Though this game is about atmosphere of giving you chills and working you up. Which didn't work on me because I never felt the potential of something bad happening to begin with.

IIRC japan Plus got Killzone Shadowfall, and we are still waiting for it here.

I suppose that they have a lower subscription rate, maybe because the typical multiplayer games (COD, Battlefield, Destiny, sports etc.) aren't quite as popular as in EU/US.

Took a little over 2 hours to download 2K, which is fine since it's like 70 gigs. But then it took about 6 hours to "copy", which I assume means install. Is that normal? If so I don't see why anyone would ever buy digital, as it's a pain in the ass to wait over 8 hours just to play the damn game.

Most digital titles support day one preload . Also I'll be downloading these from work so how could it be more convenient? If devs don't institute instant play they screwed up .

Yea took forever for me. I was able to play Cavs/Warriors while it "copied" at which point I shut it down for a while. Probably took 6 hrs for me too.
Honestly that's the first time I've ever had a digital game take that long to be available to play. Not sure what the issue was.

If you have even a little bit of interest in Sports games, play NBA2k16. The gameplay rocks and the story mode is so bad it's hilarious. Like, truly bonkers, especially the ending.

It's even better if you make a white character, or anything other than African American really. The game gives you a biological black family including a twin sister and never acknowledges that you....aren't black.

This part cracked me up as a short white guy with zero basketball skill. I'm amazing in 2k16 though.

same here i was at 98% (according to the game). played through an entire game and it still was at 98%...

I like how the Siren ep1-12 download began with episode 9 for some reason. Episode 1 was like the third or fourth last episode on the list. If you wanted to play Siren ASAP and download ep1 first, you'd have to pause/cancel like 10 downloads.

I don't play Basketball games usually but am going to try this.

Is there a general manager mode where all I could do threw out the season is manage trades, contracts, minor league, and such?

It's what I usually do in baseball games. Modern sports games are boring to play but I love to manage the teams and simulate the season to see if the team I put together wins it all.

I downloaded 2k16 hours ago, upon launching the game another % pops up. It's. Been doing this shot for hours and it's at 58% ... I already played 2 games and left it running now.

Anyone else experiencing this? Is there a fix? I want to play witcher 3 but don't want to stop the installation.

Not a fan of all the limitations 2K16 has. It seems like the only way to play custom teams is to go through the boring My GM and My League modes. I dont care about any of that. I just want to fuck around and make a team of all shaq's. Even if you do download a crazy good team, you HAVE to play it in myLeague which means you're having to play against a custom league roster.

It's installing. PC version is the same. Just leave it running while in sleep mode. Mine probably took 5 hours to install on ps4.

It was BS. I just left the console on sleep mode and be done with it.

Japan get Evil Within, we get Gone Home,a game with an achievement for finishing it in under one minute and bugged doors which don't open.

Started playing NBA last night.

Is there a normal career mode without the scripted story stuff? Can we get drafted and play an entire season instead of just the selected 8 games or so?

I've only played the high school / college / first couple NBA games so far.

Started 2K16 and it is a nice polished step up from what 2K14 was, that's for damn sure... this is a really nice surprise for a free game, especially when I considered buying it at full price when it released.

Evil Within? Damn... I hope that's a good sign that NA will get it some day...

No, you have to put up with the stupid story. You also have to put up with the high school, college trash, and the 5? 8? games in your rookie season.

Then you STILL have to put up with the story shit in your second season and onwards.

This will probably be my favorite part of the game. I could see myself quitting once the pro stuff starts.

Oh damn, that kinda sucks.

I mean, the story stuff is kinda funny in how bad it is, but having to put up with that kills my will to continue.

I'll play a bit more to see how I feel about it.

Lmao. Good thing this game is included in ps+ free games.

NBA 2K16 is impenetrable unless you already know how to play these games. The 2KU videos are a total joke.
I mean I took just under a year off of 2K and jumping back in now has been tough for me. The play calling from 2K15 had changed enough where I've been struggling more than I normally do my first couple of games. Although defensive AI appearing to be a lot better is likely a part of the learning curve too.

Well it doesn't help that they boosted the defense for the ai to a ridiculous level in 16 for some reason, every lawyer even bench and third strings play lockdown d. Magnetic defense from the ai and the like. 15 was better imo for career. I play sg and it pisses me off that I can't blow past a pf or a c in 16:/

After your first "year" (you only play 8 games) in the NBA you can just play your season the way you want, so just skip the cutscenes and you'll be good.

Ok so I'm not crazy. Some possessions just feel absolutely impossible to get an open shot.

Well, NBA 2K16 is my first digital game I am going to download/install. Should only take three days with my internet connection.

The NBA game is just awesome. Sadly the controls are just kinda hard. I didn't know it had voice commands too.

By the way, did anyone get this Error CE-40852-9 when trying to download the game? I was halfway finished in downloading the game, but the error was recurring so I thought that the files were corrupt. So I deleted the game hoping that the new download attempt will solve the problem. But sadly, I faced more failed attempts. Now, not only I have to redownload all but I have to wait for the error to not obstruct the process.
