We're getting quite a few games right at their release for PS4. Velocity 2X, Resogun, BoI, Don't Starve, etc. These are all really good games, one of them being my favorite release by far this year.
And even if you don't dig them, they certainly don't warrant a disgusting label.
To be clear, I didn't mean the games were disgusting, I meant the quality of the service, and in that, by comparison to their other platforms.
PS3 also didn't get retail games when Plus launched. I never had a PS3, but apparently they had to deal with many months of digital titles and PSX games.
It's true, it took almost a year of PS3's + before retail games arrived, but Vita was killing it straight away. Vita launched in the West in February '11, Plus arrived that November, and launched with Gravity Rush and Uncharted. Arguably the two biggest games on the platform, just after we got MK, a couple of months after that Wipeout and Lumines, then Metal Gear.
The point isn't that those games are good and whatever indie games are next month aren't, it's that Sony had to try with Vita, and they don't with PS4.
Lots of people on GAF think this is going to change, and it's just because the system is new, but there's no reason to think that at all. If the point of the service is to make the platform more attractive, they don't need to. If the point is to sell PS+, they don't need to. If the point is to show up MS, they don't need to.
