When is the MvsC2 demo suppose to come up? I am just wondering. :)
6-7hrs

I can't believe how much I'm anticipating the MvC2 demo, considering that it's a demo of a 9-year old game.

Work is going by sloooooow.

The Wolverine demo is a nice little bonus, too.

Part of it is because PS3 is getting it first. Same thing if it was on 360. It's like a feeling of being more bad ass, even if short lived. That and I played the hell out of the game at the arcade back in the day.

From my point of view, that doesn't apply, since I also have a 360.

It's an old game, and it's just a demo, but awesome games are awesome games. Haven't really played it in ages, either. It's gonna be a treat.

Shit since Europe didn't get Cuboid dlc looks like we aren't either since Europe got the Mahjong and Magic Ball dlc along with the US.

can I ask why I never see these kind of threads for the 360?
I think because the Xbox 360 updates daily, whereas the PS3 updates are centralized for one day (except Japan).

But no one is stopping anyone from makin' em.

hmm, interesting. I actually thought 360 updated on Wednesdays for some reason. Do you know why SCEE/SCEA update only once a week? marketing reasons?

Oh ho ho. Whatever the reason that certainly isn't it. :lol

The reason is threads like this. It creates buzz and awareness outside of the box. Every Store update is a little "event" if you get what I mean.

As do I but it's the inertia that creates a little more anticipation. Kinda like the Bioshock demo for 360.

I like MVC2, but I still own both MVC and MVC2 on my still working Dreamcast. The only thing that would move me to repurchase it would be the fact that my Dreamcast is both not hooked up and requires going downstairs to my storage locker with a hardhat and a pickaxe to retrieve. That being said, it all hinges on some future promotion making the game available at an irresistible price point.

The fact that they did not bother to redraw HD versions of the sprites, but simply added some filtering which in my experience usually only makes things look worse when enabled, just leaves it dangling in the "why bother" department for me a little bit more.

What about online multi-player?

For others this might be deciding factor, but for me, I've just never cared one bit about playing fighters online with either perfect strangers or friends. Maybe it's a generation gap, but the whole allure of the fighter for me has always been standing next to somebody at an arcade cabinet or sitting next to somebody on the sofa and the shit talking, bragging, and physical sabotage that results.

I've pretty consistently been uncaring about online gaming, with the exception of killzone 2 (which was also fairly short lived, not having played it online at all since reaching general). Anyway, not trying to take away from anybody else's enjoyment of playing this online but it just doesn't strike ME as a reason I would want to shell out for the game again.

Anyone heard if the Street Fighter IV "all in" add-on that was added to the Japan store is making its way to the US store? I'm assuming its all the character alt costumes in one, and I have been waiting for that.

Also I finally plunked down $26 for a copy of Return Fire... as in just the game and a clear jewel case.... I wish they would add more PS1 games to the US store as well :(

I would think next week for the US, then the week after for EUR... like the previous individual releases.

It also has the negative effect of letting some people know they don't need to turn on the system except on Thursdays. I can't decide if the overall impact of their policy is positive or negative. Certainly there are fans of both methods.

Personally, as a multi-console owner, I usually play Wii on Mondays and PS3 on Thursdays. I'll turn them on, check the stores, and then play whatever I'm interested in (demos or full-disc games). I rarely switch consoles on these nights because the PS3/Wii is already on so I might as well take that time to play whatever's on my backlog for that system. The 360 updates XBLA on Wed. so that day is 360 day. The difference is that demos and Community games can drop at any time on 360, so I find myself more drawn to turning on that system the rest of the week because there may be new content available. Once it's on and I've tried whatever new CGs/Demos are available, I'm more likely to keep that system on and play those games.

So for me, Sony and Nintendo's policy does not work out as well for them. I'd prefer things drop when they're ready to. It also ticks me off that sometimes 360 demos/trailers are often delayed to Thursday just because the publishers don't want to "slight" PS3-only owners by putting it up on 360 first. If Sony updated whenever, everyone would get stuff earlier.

Cool new killzone maps. I guess they'll be less than 10 bucks on the us store right? I need to improve my kdr it's pathetic right now.

That's really weird.

I definitely don't play my systems (ps3 or wii) based on their update schedule but rather when there's something I want to play, or if I know there's something I want to download.

Shard makes an individual thread for every single item on the marketplace.
Yes, and I wonder why it took so long for him to get his new tag.
More annoying are his official threads for games he never seems to play, or have a real interest in.

You're really annoyed by that? Wow.

I've always thought something like PSNosferatu would suit me, since I suck all the goodness from the psn. PSNostradamus doesn't fit because I don't predict things. PSNemo would fit my avatar.

I'd settle for PSNuisance
