PlayStation Store 09/04/12 - Treasure Park | Zen Pinball 2

Zen Pinball 2 is constructed in a different way than ZP1.
IN ZP2 you can play all of the tables as a trial for free (like on iOS) and then purchase them if you like them.

I can't wait for ZP2. It's been a long time coming so I hope the Vita version runs like butter. I've got all the tables and I'll be picking up the PVZ table which means I'll have 26 tables to flip through. Most of which I haven't even played before.

So, are we getting a banner or not?

What tables are on this version of Zen, and how much will it cost?

Zen Pinball 2 is a free framework, like Pinball FX 2 on 360. Tables are purchased individually save where they're in 4-packs as far as I know. 4-packs should be $9.99 and individual tables $2.50 and $2.99

Zen pinball base tables:

V12
Tesla
Shaman
El Dorodo

Individual tables:

Street Fighter 2
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
Mars
Paranormal
Sorcerer's Lair
Epic Quest
Earth Defense
Excalibur
Plants vs Zombies
Fantastic Four
Captain America

Marvel 4 packs:

Marvel Pinball:

Wolverine
Iron Man
Blade
Spider-Man

Vengeance & Virtue:

Thor
Ghost Rider
X-Men
Moon Knight

Avengers Chronicles:

Avengers movie
World War Hulk
Fear Itself
Infinity Gauntlet

Didn't she declare on Twitter that she's done with Pulse?

It has propably more to do with Sony being done with Pulse, and as a result, her.

That was just an extra expense that a bunch of gaffers watched because she had legs that stretched from here to the ends of the world and had a smile that could melt glaciers.

Licensing issues, Pinball FX is only for live arcade, as are some of the original base tables. Same deal for Zen Pinball.

It's why they never ported all the base tables of either game, over to the other as DLC. Some later tables, from Mars and Paranormal onward, are multiplatform.
Interesting thanks. Maybe next time they'll just make one pinball game across multiple systems, it'd be less confusing.

didn't they say they will release more every week? or are we stuck at 9?

There are more than 9 on the US store actually. They updated last week with an additional 26 including Klonoa, and Tomba.

I was pretty sure SCEA did say they were going to update PSX games every week. Looking at both blog posts from last week I can not find it anymore. Does anyone else remember them saying every week?

Also if it only took them 2 days to update 26 more games after the original nine released last Tuesday I guess we should be looking forward to 65 PSX games released today.... right? :P

if they wanted to all the games would already be available, but this way we get new stuff every week on the Vita, yay

They definitely said every week. They totally changed it. I went back to that post too and couldn't find it

Wait, wait, wait - Zen Pinball 2 is for Vita as well?
aaaand Pinball Arcade DLC

:O

PINBALL DAY!

Yep. Zen Pinball 2 is fully ported to Vita along with every table. Buy a table on one platform, get it on both. The expanded, PB FX2 style leaderboards and social stuff is cross platform as well, supposedly. I.E. your stats are synched between PS3 and Vita via PSN.

SWEET. I wasn't following this game, too pre-occupied with PA, but this is so fantastically awesome!

US store needs to update! =l Was awesome when they had a strong string of weeks where they'd update before like 3pm EST. Now they're back to being slow.

Last week they did a stealth slow roll. It was sweet.

(It wasn't sweet)

Armored Kill today gents.
For us rich folks, not you peasants

Oh really when?

Never before have so many, been so united, in the struggle for achieving the monkey-to-button connection.

I need Zen Pinball 2. Now.

Also, anyone know, if we got Marvel Pinball free from PS+, will I be able to import that into ZP2, or is it just ones that you've actually bought?

I'm sure as long as you have the dlc tables sitting on your hard drive, it'll recognize it.

this quote doesn't really answer your question but..
So, how will all of this work if you have purchased Zen Pinball or Marvel Pinball and any DLC? It’s going to be super easy! When Zen Pinball 2 releases, you will simply need to download and install a game update, and your game will be updated FREE of charge. All of your tables will appear in one location, they will have received updated ball physics and graphics, new trophies and a much deeper social experience including in game notifications, friend challenges and even posting scores to Facebook.

Have they ever commented on why their updates do not follow a set schedule? I'm getting really tired of this "could drop anytime" routine. There should be an established deadline.

It's unprofessional. Some of this content was purchased in advance.
