Piracy?!?!? DUH!

Que, whats this? Idiocy?

What the hell are you on about?

It's on the EU PSN store.

* TV Superstars Move controller required Rating: PEGI 7

Availability: All locales

uhm... the 2GB EyePet Move Upgrade is not a patch or DLC, it's an actual game launcher.

Apparently it imports your stuff from EyePet, but I can't test it because you need the Move controller.

give it a try and report back. that would be pretty crazy.

ah, you will still need the disc:

"Please insert the EyePet disc, or press circle to start a time-limited demo"

how odd though Oo

wow, that is pretty odd. I wonder if they'll let people pay to unlock the game if they don't have the disc at a later date...

Well, if you loose your disc you couldn't play anyway ^^
Though they could offer this as another retail-to-PSN release, it only needs an unlock key instead of the disc.

If I'm getting this right, they didn't actually patch the game (if you start the disc there will be no update and no Move content, just the classic game) but the 2GB upgrade is actually the new Move enabled client from the new disc release.
It then just imports your progress from the original game and you need the disc in the drive to prove you own the game.

btw. this client also supports stereoscopic 3D.

Suikoden. Was that (price-drop, I mean) in the store last update? It's on sale for $2.99. It's part of the "PSX 15th anni" thing.

Going to bite on that if it's up after this update today. If it isn't, I'm going to kick myself in the ass, but really AFAIK they didn't advertise this and I just found it today. :|

Arc the Lad comes to PSN in September
Week #1
Week #2
Week #3
Week #4

Come on Vic, make it happen like you said it would!
I bitched about this to them on the PS3 Blog not to long ago. I was rather adamant. I wonder if that had anything to do with it?
I can dream right

Note

PS3 Themes
SPACE INVADERS INFINITY GENE XMB Theme 1 (free)
File size: 4.36 MB
SPACE INVADERS INFINITY GENE XMB Theme 2 (free)
File size: 1.70 MB
SPACE INVADERS INFINITY GENE XMB Theme 3 (free)
File size: 2.19 MB

According to Mike Kibby from the EU PSN Store:
"I’ve just had contact with the team, and those themes should have been billable in the US too, so the SCEE pricing I can confirm is indeed correct."

So get them while they are still free.

They're pretty shitty anyway. Charging 1.99 for them is ridiculous.

What the... I picked them up last night for free and now I see they are $1.99 each? Was this some kind of sale or something or was it an error on Sony's part? Either way, I'm glad I got these for free.

Wait, Enslaved in only EU?

no, it's for everyone who can make a PAL account ;)

My PS3 just finished all the downloads, almost 19 GB just for all the demos (and EyePet) from the US+PAL stores of this week :lol

SCEA screwed up. Rumbled by the SCEE blog comments where Mike Kebby confirmed that they should have been chargeable in the first place on the US store.

there a free app on the singapore PSN store called PlayMemories (probably on the HK store too i think)

you can view 3D photos with it (3DTV needed)

it's pretty sweet (for those with 3DTVs like me)

there are 9 3D photos and one multiangle photo included in the app

you can also view your own 2D photos in the app (it doesnt upconvert them to 3D however, just normal 2D)

Damn. That would take me at least two days of non-stop downloading. :lol

ah, here's some info on the playmemories thing:

http://www.dizzygamers.com/content/sony-announced-ps3-3d-photo-management-program-playmemories

Sony announced the 3D photo management program "PlayMemories" for PS3. It will be available on September and free for download. People could use HDMI cable to link to 3D HDTV and appreciate the MPF 3D photo on full HD 1080p view.

PlayMemories is using the high efficiency PS3 cell processor. People can do quick search, manage, view the 3D MPF (Multi Picture File Format) photography from 3D digital cameras. The user interface will be 3D too.

The 3D digital cameras which Sony supports right now include the CyberShot serious "DSC-TX9", "DSC-WX5", and α series of NEX models like "NEX-5" and "NEX-3" (need firmware update).

PS3 PlayMemories will be release in late September for free but it requires PS3 system firmware 3.40 or higher.

Just want to check to make sure it's not my system ...

Does the text scrolling at the bottom of Space Invaders look kind of twitchy to anyone else? It's annoying, if that's intentional.

PSN gave me the "service is not available in your country" error several times when I tried to log into the store, when I managed to get in, I couldn't add any funds to my wallet. Then I tried uploading some pictures to Picasa via the Photo Gallery, didn't work either... what's going on?

Finnish account btw.

Some trailers are up in the JPN PSN under TGS such as Asura's Wrath, FFXIV, Danbol Senki, Yakuza of the End, MGS: Rising, etc.

Yeah, you can dream as Vic said they were coming back in May.

Yep, it's that way. In fact, the game is quite unpolished. The framerate on the menu is jarring (but in-game is really fine). But the worst is, when you get a "Game Over" screen, and came the results screen, a message saying "press any button to continue", and you have to wait 5 seconds to exit this screen, pressing any button does nothing. Quite annoying.

But the game is awesome. :D

Yeah, some don't have English names but if you click on them you can see the details, one is Black Ops for example.

I really hope to see Ni no Kuni and the two Ueda trailers on there soon.

a nice touch is that you control the multiangle photo with the sixaxis motion sensor.

btw. non-3D users can use the app and view the provided pictures, too.

For 3D you get to choose between 720p@60hz and 1080p@24hz

That's actually one feature they wanted to integrate this year (3D photos), turns out they already did (or it wasn't supposed to be XMB integrated) and this is just the software for it.

But what's the point? I guess it's a bit cheaper than buying JP PSN cards online, but on the other hand you get full access to all the JP PSone games.

for people who don't want to make a new account. They exist :/

Those are Cho Aniki and Gaiaseed.

Thing is... Will they have English menus and stuff?

It's for lazy people I guess? But I have to say tha tI am really interested in what titles they will pick.

Off-topic, but can you use HK cards on JP accounts (or vice versa)? I was thinking about getting Flight Control HD at launch but it's not out in JP yet.

if you're playing only on PS3, then yeah, little point. But having to switch accounts is a pain on the PSP.

I thought as part of ToS you can't make accounts for countries you do not reside in? Thats why they did this right?

Ok that's actually a point, though still they need to actually offer the games you want from the JP store.

Actually the wording is that you are not allowed to enter false information, so if you are from the US and create an US account but use a fake address, this would be against the ToS just as if you create a JP account. Of course Sony doesn't care about that and even less about you accessing different PS Stores. I still remember, when they fixed the Uncharted US demo over the weekend because PAL residents complaint that they can't play it on their PAL PS3s (the PAL demo wasn't out yet). :lol

Of course they do this mainly for the "casuals" (the ones that want to play untranslated jp games ^^). They don't have to create an jp account via guide, you probably get an basic English instruction manual etc.
