It's kinda funny considering the PS3 version has massively downgraded low-res textures. I guess that just shows how much fail the port is.
 
Pretty sure the Bayonetta demo's size difference is because the realtime cutscenes are mostly video on PS3. At least if my memory is correct since I played the Japanese one, that is.

Well it does have more cutscenes in general considering it has the bonus battle with Jeanne.

What happened to Vagrant Story? Was it pulled, or was it just a tease from SCEE?

I don't know about the US store but the japanese demo has real-time cut-scenes, and they run and look worse than the 360 version too. :P
 
Capgod does it again this week with RE 3. In about a month we got RE 2/3 and Dino Crisis (but it sure took them 3 month after their announcment to arrive). HELLLLLLLLLLO Square-Enix what are you waiting for? I want my Final Fantasies, Vagrant Story, Threads of fate
(and Chrono Cross don't hit me I really liked Chrono Cross:( )
. I guess since they were not rated by the esrb yet it means we won't see them until late 2010 :(.

We all know SE is going to eventually release FF8-9, CC, and the others. I'm surprised they haven't done it sooner as it's pretty much free cash for them...

It's because FFVII success. They're probably just waiting for sales to die down before they release another major FF. (tactics don't count)

Well, they're waiting until every single PS3 owner in the world buys FFVII before releasing FFVIII. And they're close to achieving this.

Picked up Last Guy for $5 yesterday (score!) and now Biohazard 3: Last Escape.

Come on Capcom Dino Crisis 2 next week. :D!
 
I purchased RE3, messed around with it for a bit.. Is there any penalty for playing on easy mode? Will I miss an alt ending or something? I just want to experience the game without the frustration (controls), but will play on hard mode if I have to.

Easy mode means you don't get access to several special weapons and also don't get access to the various epilogues, so I'd avoid it. Easy mode is wicked good fun, though, because you start off RIDICULOUSLY heavily armed and can pretty much just blow everything in your path away without effort.

Seems that way.. I played around with it to get a feel for the controls on the PSPGo. I started out with an M4, it had something like 500 rounds, and then in the warehouse I found a storage box with even more guns:lol I'll take your advice and play on hard mode.. Easy felt like I was playing with an unlock all guns code or something.

You really don't want to try and play RE3 on hard IMO, unless you don't care about weapon upgrades.

I'm currently playing Soul Reaver, very good game, the PSP hides it's aging very well.. Metal Gear, Castlevania Symphony of the Night and Wild Arms are also good purchases.

Weapon upgrades aren't a big deal to me. I'm more concerned about missing parts of the story because of easy mode.

Oh bullshit. Bio3 is EASILY do-able on Hard. You just need to know what Zombies/Barrels to kill/explode to continue with the game and be the master of "juking."

PSP-1000's controller/D-pad is what cripples you more than anything in that game.

Hard is REQUIRED for Operation Mad Jackle/The Original Mercenaries mode, and the Epilogues.

Weapon upgrades aren't really that useful either. Yeah, the Sarah Conner Sawn-off Shotgun is nice, but you only need Freeze Rounds (make Gunpowder C)/Grenade Launcher + Magnum for the later part of the game. Shotgun + Pistol for the first half is doable. Just GTFO of Raccoon when you see Neme-baby and don't have an auto-kill choice.
 
If you just want to beat the game then play on easy. Hard is doable but if you are not used to the older RE games and the idea of running from almost everything then don't do it. You will just frustrate yourself on hard is you ain't prepared for it.

in terms of content, yes

however (IMO) the Bayonetta PSN US demo looks ALOT more vibrant and sharper than the PSN JPN Demo

maybe thats a good sign...
