PlayStation Store Play 2013 Lineup Revealed; 20% discount for PS+

How does one preorder psn games? Vita only owner here.

in the past, the preorders would be put up a week before release. they would show on the store just like a new release, but the buy button is a preorder. then, a week later, you can download when it officially releases.

I remember being excited for Ibb&Obb around the time FEZ was announced. There was a Joystiq article on the the game, I just looked it up and it's from Indicade 2008. Anyways, the game looked really fun back then, great that it's finally coming out.

Been waiting, what feels like forever for Ibb and Obb, but, all this time I thought it was a Vita game.

They said they were looking into a Vita version a while back, but also said that they were a pretty small team so they had to focus on one version of the game first. So there is a strong possibility a Vita version is coming

Kind of similar to Mercenary Kings, the devs are open to making a Vita version, but due to team size they can only work on one version at a time.

Not a very exciting lineup. I'm unfamiliar with most of these titles, so maybe it's better than I think. No interest in Duck Tales, though. I never had any connection to that game so the nostalgia is lost on me.

Anyone know if ibb & obb can be played with just one player?

I believe you can. Each character is controlled with a different stick. Not sure how that is going to play out. I'm hoping they managed to put online co-op in because I think that'd be the best way to play it.

Clearly local coop is the superior way to play this game as it doesn't have two viewpoints that would necessitate it being played on two separate consoles.

That doesn't mean it shouldn't have online coop.

Yeah, but for me and I imagine a lot of others it's not often convenient to have friends over to play. Even with people I know in real life I usually play online.

It is alittke weird that they did not include Luftrausers, Lone Suvivor, or DiveKick in this. Fuckin pissed that Spelunky was apprently delayed as I really wanted to play that.

Think they have to or are trying to cater to different 3rd parties, the indies and the big publishers. Last year they had that crap Expendables game so it seems they might have some deal with Ubisoft happening.

We included the raddest stuff we could that was ready when we had to lock it down, and can't lock down games that aren't finished. No conspiracy here. :-)

That said, all those other games aren't pret-ty close too, and we'll find the best way to promote them when they do hit.

I need a promotion that is tailored to the games I want to purchase.

Short list:
Stealth Bastard
Luftrausers
Divekick
Terraria
Spelunky
Frozen Synapse: Tactics
Snapshot
Bit.Trip Presents: Runner 2

Of course I'll also take a discount for Tearaway.

Wait so you work for Sonys psn team? If thats accurate your gonna get some messages for Grace I think :P

Though you guys have been doing a good job of getting the updates up at decent times lately

That print ad just made many of us believe some games were apprently going to be sooner then they are actually going to be, so some of the confusion I believe is understandable.

rocksolidaudio is Nick Suttner.

This is a great PSN Play lineup, thanks. You should hang out here more, maybe answer some of the PS4 questions that are getting people worked up. :)

Question for rocksolidaudio

If I buy cloudberry kingdom now on ps3, will I get the vita version free later on?

This is the only way I'll be buying it as I only play these kind of games on vita.

Stealth bastard will be preordered tomorrow.

I'm buying all of these with the exception of snapshot.

Edit: sorry for double post...

Bunch of stuff I've never heard of and Ducktales. Passing on everything, great job Sony.

What would be the point in including games you HAVE heard of? It's supposed to bring extra marketing and sales to these games which probably wouldn't do as well otherwise...

It's a procedurally generated platformer.

Edit: wait, I thought this was coming to Vita at the same time as PS3? This is so stupid. Why does the OP say "YOPO"?

I was actually kind of impressed that there were some Vita compatible games in this special, but as it stands its only one game that supports the Vita in Stealth Inc.

SCEA continues to show it really does not care about the Vita much if it all. Makes me sad as someone who loves the system.

Darn, no Lone Survivor.

Stealth Bastard and Ducktales I'll probably pre-order. Cloudberry and Ibb & Obb don't really appeal to me.

Not on the PSN team, I work in developer relations. So probably not going to have the answers you're looking. :-)

Yeah, sorry for the confusion. Not that I had any insight into that, but print is locked down way ahead of time, whereas indie release dates aren't. So, things change, and we do our best to feature/promote them whenever they do end up hitting. But like I said, those other titles aren't far away at all!

Sorry, not sure. That's a decision by the publisher, in this case Ubisoft.

Meh. I'm probably getting Ducktales, but the "boxed" copy with a download code and a pin. I probably won't get any of the rest at launch, my backlog is just too big. I do want to play Cloudberry Kingdom when it hits Vita though.

Dang @ those PS+ savings. I hope to God they can maintain this quality with PS4's service. I constantly am in awe at what they offer on PS+. Amazing.

Is this for now US only?

Yeah. SCEE did one of these and had a colossal fuckup and took about 2 months to get the rewards out. I guess after that they said "Fuck it, this is too much effort" and decided not to bother any more.

Instead, they gave you guys awesome PS+ games =/

No problem man, I follow you on twitter but did not realize you were on Gaf, so your like the SCEA version of Shahid basically. (obviously SCEA does not know what a Vita is though) which is not your fault.

Eh, from the sounds of it the selection of games was limited by which games they could be certain would be ready in time. Short convincing Devolver Digital to hold back Hotline Miami, there probably wasn't much they could do.
