Fuck yes. I am so excited for PSVR. PC is nowhere near Oculus or Vive capable, so this is my only option for VR gaming.

Hype! These last nine months have been torturous with all major VR platforms holding back on their announcements.

If Sony manages to get headset (standalone) priced at $299 (camera bundle at $349) then they will define the money-making VR market for the next few years. At $399 they will be the biggest player (money making. GearVR will have a larger install number). They brought 3D to the livingroom and now they are to do the same with VR.

Didn't they reveal PSVR at GDC? Pretty sure they streamed that too.

Nah. That was when they officially detailed PlayStation Move and the games. They did that live. PSVR was pre-recorded, though.

299.99 pls

;_;

$299 and released on September 11, 2016 (my guess)

There is not a cat's chance in hell it's going to be $299. At best, it'll be $350-$400. And that's just the headset.

Date and price seem likely but I would not count on anything else other than a few games.

Unless PSVR is coming out in the next 2 months, I'd expect Sony to watch carefully and learn from whatever Oculus and Valve do right / wrong with their software lineups content and ecosystem feature announcements, which still remain a fair bit vague

The leaked Goldman Sachs VR equity research estimated the BOM of PSVR to be at $350. I'm not sure if that includes the camera BOM but I expect a minimum price of $399.
