I've personally never heard of a live, televised car chase anywhere outside of the US. You guys seem to be big on those.

In Germany, something like that would just not be broadcast on a live feed. It's understood to be a very American thing here.

I got to admit, it's kinda interesting, though :D

Fascinating. Yeah sometimes you forget how nuts America can be if you've never lived anywhere else :p

Yea I mentioned the placards earlier, its driving me nuts that they don't just zoom in and see what they say. There seems to be a couple but I can't make them out and I wouldn't know them by color/design alone.
I see a couple that are white and just have a word with no image, those usually aren't anything dangerous, just something like gas under pressure. The chance that he's got something poisonous, flammable, or otherwise destructive is just asinine.

Also, the idea that city, county or state officials have anything to do with hazmat is funny. Feds cover hazmat, anybody local is just support or extra manpower.

I need an explanation. Why aren't they trying to stop him? Is it because they are afraid of the cargo? Can't they use road spikes or road block? Are they waiting for him to run out of gas? I really have no idea what is going on.
