That game can't be balanced for both, it either has to have been tuned for DS3 or Move, and I can't believe it was Move.Always-honest said:oh well, at least we still have Killzone 3 for move...![]()
Valve are stupid? You are stupid!Lion Heart said:You'd have to be stupid not to put a Move option in your games. Move is not exactly flourishing in third party support, adding it in will make your title stand out for those desperate to play something.
I wish developers wouldn't just so I don't have to sit through those stupid Move warnings even though I don't own the damn thing.Lion Heart said:You'd have to be stupid not to put a Move option in your games. TTP said:It was actually that Valve guy interviewed by the German PlayStation Blog
He just stated it (and I do believe they are working on it behind the curtain). But when I checked his profile on Valve's site and realized he is a "Writer" I went "hmm..."
Dance In My Blood said:Pretty much. I only know a small amount of German and it is clearly obvious in the article that there is no Move support.
und volle Playstation-Move-Unterstützung
I see that, but a sentence later he says there isn't full move support in the next question. It might be in regards to using both Move and 3D at the same time, or it might be in general. Either way, it is poorly written/worded/edited on someone's part.gofreak said:Your german must differ from mine and Eurogamer's.
The original German, from the list of things he went through in the PS3 version:
in English: 'and full Playstation-Move-support'
This wasn't game journalists' fault. They faithfully relayed what he, on the face of it, said in this interview.
So like I've been saying, either Sony's blogger misquoted him (twice) in the interview, or the Valve guy did actually say these things but was mistaken in thinking Valve had confirmed Move support.
IMO the vast balance of probabilities supports the latter scenario. I think he was probably aware of work going on with Move re. Portal 2 but was unaware that it hadn't been finally decided upon or publicly announced.

The 'fluff' is probably true. Move is new technology to the team, and it's not fully implemented yet.Commanche Raisin Toast said:if the valve guy got it wrong, i wanna know how someone 'accidentally' confirms Move support and even goes as far as to say it's not fully implemented yet and that it's 'new to the team'.
it's one thing to accidentally get a supported resolution wrong, but all of that fluff about move?
Alright, my bad.gofreak said:He was simply saying there:
"Auch Move ist eine völlig neue Erfahrung für uns, daher ist das System noch nicht voll integriert."
"So Move is a entirely new system for us, therefore the system is not yet fully integrated."
That was in response to a question asking how Move would work in the game, following on from the first comment. That gives no suggestion the game would not have Move support, just that he wasn't in a position to elaborate on it because they were still working on it.
This is a lot of talk for a small point: I think it's most likely the Valve guy's fault for the confusion.
Well played.Lion Heart said:Biggest blue balls ever.
Who cares when it's not competitive?ManeKast said:Glad they stuck with the controller. How can it be fine tuned for multiplayer with two control options? (I don't find Killzone 3 to be fine tuned for both, for example).

In that case sorry for the light spoiler.ManeKast said:You're absolutely right, I just assumed there was a competitive multiplayer mode (been steering clear of a lot of details).
Beer Monkey said:I think I'm going to get the Razer Hydra bundled with Portal 2 PC. Definitely if it's under $100.
So if he says twice it's going to have full PS Move support and then he says it isn't yet integrated I think it means this.gofreak said:He was simply saying there:

That gives no suggestion the game would not have Move support, just that he wasn't in a position to elaborate on it because they were still working on it. The combination of his two comments leaves every expectation the game will have Move support, but that right now he can't specify how it'll work because it's not yet fully finished.
