Possible Kojima Productions Reveal in Three Days?

I gotta admit, after I made that big post explaining how wrong you all were about how Kojima deceives people and it wasn't what it seemed, you almost convinced me that it could be someone other than Raiden despite it quite obviously being Raiden.

Seriously. Didn't Snake's eye color change 53 times through the course of the series? ;)

Something that is interesting to me: with the announcement of MGS:R on 360... does that mean we'll have a bigger lean on the online aspect of the game? is co-op in the future for this franchise and is the "old man" his partner? ...or adversary? With Japan being the major influence of the game... are we moving more towards a Dynasty Warriors/Devil May Cry/Ninja Gaiden approach for this new series?

I'm holding pat on my Snake v. Raiden post-MGS4 game theory. But I'm thinking the game's overhaul will be seen in some of the areas mentioned above.

I don't care about the Raiden spin-off. It won't play or be anything like the main series.

What I care about is KP doing a fuck awesome render of Big Boss just to announce some stupid PSP spin-off game. Going through 1000 hours worth of countdown clock only to witness a franchise raping.

They better have some good trailers to make up for that teasing bullshit.
 
I doubt the game takes place after MGS4.

Lightning Bolt Action makes me think of some DMC/NG style of game. Probably 10-12 hours of Raiden wrecking ass.

It's not. The PR blurb I read mentions nothing of exclusivity. And hey, as long as this thing is also coming to the 360 they might as well make a PC port. :P

"lightning bolt action" is really, really cheesy, gotta say. I wonder if this game will be a more grounded version of ZOE? I mean, with that subtitle, it better. :P

You're right actually. If they're going multiplatform then they should as much money as they possibly can off this game. And do a simultaneous release on the PS3/360/PC, don't leave the PC version hanging back as Capcom does with their games.
 
That was the most ridiculous trailer I've ever seen. Just a pan of a Raiden picture and that's it. I hope we get a proper trailer.

ZOE style action game set in the MGS universe could be pretty epic. I'd definitely be excited for that.
 
A MGS spin off with Raiden ala DMC.. well, it could be interesting. In fact I'm a little disappointed because it doesn't like a main game of the saga :lol
 
For some reason I'm not excited, maybe because I was expecting MGS4. If this is the last minute surprise maybe the game was a PS3 exclusive some hours ago and they manage to get it for the 360 too.

Anyway, if this is a DMC type of game, good luck Kojima, the competition is brutal in this genre,

That was done by Murata though, and Kojima mentioned in Famitsu that this is his project. I'm really not sure what to expect. With it being Raiden in his ninja form people are going to expect a hardcore action game and Kojima has never done anything like.

This game isn't a spin-off. It's the next full fledged Metal Gear title. You are a tard.

Yeah i'm curious if he's going the DMC route. If so I hope he brings his own twist to it. I hope he continues his crazy storylines as well.

I think the letters in the NEXT-website splash all spell out, PS3, 360 and PC. (??)

If this is going to be multi-across these 3... I can't see the game not having a heavy online component to it. If this is the case then Kojima would be dancing on ground that has not been danced upon before. DMC/NG with online aspects? Sign me up.. it's fresh. I think there are a lot of ways to explore this genre even further.

Kojima came out and quickly announced it during the MS conference. More than likely PS3/360.
 
So, will that "Mask" game show up on Sony's conference tomorrow? I'm going to back off my Lords of Shadow prediction since i was wrong about this MG being a PSP game (although it makes me much happier that it's a console game).

it is still going to be a MG game on the psp.

i am a sony fanboy, but this new game on the 360 surely has to limit what they can do compared to what they did with mgs4.

i cant help but think its some form of dlc of raiden
 
What I don't understand is why people don't think this would be a stealth game. He's a fucking ninja!! They don't run out and just start blowing shit up. They move in stealth and secrecy.

Indeed. That presentation Kojima gave a while back where he mentioned the "evolution of the stealth game" featured that tiny little Raiden graphic. I don't know how anyone can assume that this new title will just be another DMC clone. That's a rather ignorant assumption if you ask me.

Well they did replace Tactical Espionage Action with Lightning Bolt Action.
So they might be right.

Ninja Raiden certainly wasn't sneaky. If you watch him in MGS4 you'd definitely think of something like DMC. An extremely stylized action. I'm expecting something that's more stealthy though, but you'll be able to do crazy shit simply because it is Ninja Raiden.
