Post Your Gaming Setup: 2009 Edition

awmg, Bose? Poor guy. I guess there might be a slight difference at least from the tv speakers. (which I might be able to detect with a proper meter ;) )

Damn...I have a friend who as the same speakers and they sound nice.
Maybe thats because Im not an audiophile. But one other reason why I choose these is because they are small. My grilfriend do not want big "Speaker".

I'd give something like this a try if I cared about size and keeping the cost low:

http://www.hsuresearch.com/products/vt-12.html

Or by going with the bookshelf models at places like Outlaw, SVSound, HSU, Axiom, AV123, Aperion, etc. (all are pretty good values in audio since they focus on selling to you direct, you're not paying up for the showroom, salesmen, etc.)

holy shit, I would advise cancelling your order. with that kind of budget you can buy some really nice stuff. and I see a PS3 there, you'll want to take advantage of it's audio capability with high quality speakers.
this is the best advice anyone will give you, overheat

and take your girl out to dinner with all your extra monies

thx for the advice guys tomorrow I will go shopping....damn for my tv it was so much Easier going from 60 inch sxrd xbr2 to a 5020 kuro best upgrade I ever did.

OverHeat, if you want to get your audio gear from Futureshop and you want small'ish speakers, you could try the Energy RC-Micro set with a receiver for around the same price as the Bose package. The RC-Micros are small and look nice (pretty high WAF) but they should sound sound much better than the Bose speakers.

Here is the RC-Micros,

There are two more composite switches beside the TV on the left hand side. It took me a good 15 hours to redo all the wires and twist tie off the excess length in all the cables and make it less of a crows nest back there.

Disk games are just in folders. Dont have room to display my Game/CD/DVD cases at the moment.

Not actually a gaming set-up, but behold the Panasonic P50G10!

Ok, maybe that's not the best pic of what the set can actually do...

Indeed, cancel that order and get your cash back. Bose sounds great but the thing about Bose systems is that you can't add on extra devices cuz those bose receivers have a very LIMITED amount of inputs.

It also uses proprietary speaker cables which someone already mentioned.

I recommend Bose systems for music, not so much for their video capabilities.

Those pillows are awesome. I got them too and they're sitting on top of my rear speakers. I <3 them.

I had that receiver (or the 606, I forget) but you just don't plug anything into the rear 7.1, instead just use the sides.

Same thing with my Denon 2309 that I got to replace the Onkyo.

Feast your eyes on perfection boys, Aka my scrappy lil set up because I'm poor :lol

Gaming is done in my room until I move (again) and can have a separate space for it. Like it better this way anyway. Old school consoles are hooked up and played in the attic. No images of it atm though.

Just put some fresh paint on my walls. May hang up a framed Shenmue II poster and something else eventually, but I like the bare cleanliness.
