How come Anime (TSR specifically) comes in so many boxes? Is it like 4 eps on one disc or what. I've been thinking of buying the FMP series on DVD. What's the cost like?

Dope collection of stuff. Your wallpaper aint that bad :lol

DVDs only containing 3-4 episodes used to be the industry standard.

Now pretty much any anime is released in box set format.

I've had fun looking through this thread, so I figured I should contribute as well.

But first, sorry for the shitty picture quality, and I'm a college student, so this is just my bedroom... it's all I have to work with, and no, I can't do anything about the broke-ass wallpaper.

Anyway...Okay, that's enough shitty games and lame-ass anime. Let's move on to closer up pics of the hardware. Look at that goddamn skeleton Saturn.

Anyway, hopefully you enjoyed this. If not... well, eh, I don't really care.

Nice skeleton Saturn (I'm guessing that's the black "This Is Cool" version?). I used to have one (complete and mint condition, too), but I sold it many years ago since it was jsut sitting in my closet for the longest. Now my US Saturn doesn't read my Action Replay and I wish I still had it... :(

If you stick to thin packs, parts, and collections you will save so much more space. However, if you can get singles for cheaper, I rather buy that.

Yep, thankfully the recent trend is towards saving space and less cost. Some of the shows I have do have box sets available, but I opted for the singles to get the extras and shit that they stripped out of them... and because some sets try to cram like... 9 episodes on a disc or something stupid, which hurts the video quality as a result. For the record, the TSR Blu Ray set costs like $50 and it's on 2 discs, which is perfectly reasonable.

I just dug the tv out of the garage.
It's the only CRT we have around here.

The tv is actually kind of wonderful. It was made in august 1984. And it has the weird plexiglass over the screen, like an old arcade cabinet.

I own the first 4 dvd's for FMP, yeah having 3-4 eps per dvd was shit, instead of buying the final 3 I used just a little bit more in cost to buy an entire box set instead, should have done that in the first place.

Forget all of these high-powered displays. I want to game in that room, on that TV, man. Pizza, mountain dew, and games with nothing to mess up.

You don't care about pizza stains on the carpet, do you?

Fuck yeah. Reminds me of the Goldeneye days I had at this friends house who moved here from Iraq. Me and him and his brother having a blast with N64 and PS1 in this small poorly looking room. The atmosphere there was amazing

Nope!
Carpet was fucked when I moved in!

The funny thing is, that tv actually has composite inputs.
My aquos doesn't have VGA in, so I've been playing my Dreamcast on it with composites for years now. I had just kinda gotten used to the way it looks. But playing Dreamcast on this tv is actually pretty damn amazing. It's seriously like moving from SD to HD. But the other way around.

Nah. His set up like...overwhelms me. O.o It's like, a giant, well organized mass from top to the bottom. Overwhelming presence. Nice though!

yea, altho i think he limits himself to one TV size because of it.

Yeah I'm a sucker for anything McIntosh.

You'd know how big of an audio whore I am if I posted some other pics, but this is about gaming setups not studio dungeons:lol

A 60" flat panel with no bottom stand will fit in just fine, I made sure I left justttttt enough room to float one in there with a wall mount:D

I notice some people put their front speakers rather close together (like on the edges of the TV). Is there any reason for this? I would think that this rather limits the stereo effect, doesn't it?

Don't know if you are being sarcastic or not, but I think it is hideous. :lol

That is why I really need to get a new table for my computer and new carpet.

That is my room from a year ago. I think it looked better then just because the theme was consistent. Now my furniture is completely mismatched.

lone dreamcast hooked up in a final destination looking basement motif with what appears to be the first CRT mass produced....full of win.

I mean it...jsut being able to sit and play third strike in a dark room makes the day!

DAMN, ALL DEM TABLES!
