I've been looking for some nice, cheap-ish shoes, since my current Converse One Stars are developing some lovely holes, but... there are too many choices. I thought this thread would help, but it's hella boggling. I might just have to go simple and get some more black Chuck Taylors.

I don't know how you dudes can order new shoes online either, unless they're different colors of the exact same style of shoe you already have.

I just got these shoes on sale and in my carusement of this thread I learned that it is apparently the new style to wear ones laces like this. So can someone tell me what the trick is? Do I just tuck the loops into the shoe or is it more complex?

They look neat. What are they?

I have the ones in the foreground of this picture, except they're all white with a bit of grey, teal and black.

The elastic keeps them snug and no need for laces.

I thought the same thing but, after getting my first zappos.com order, offline shoe stores pale in comparison. Here's why shopping at zappos rocks:

- Insane selection. I don't know of any real world store that has as many kickass shoes.

- FREE returns. And, you have up to a year to return them. No questions asked.

Meaning that you can sit on your ass and the shoes come to you. You can even order multiple sizes of the same shoe and return the extras. All free.

Where can you buy those velcro Tigers? Zappos doesn't have them and all of the sudden I am compelled to buy them.

As for buying shoes online, I just order shoes a half size larger. Sometimes they are a little big, but I have weird issues with my toes, so the extra room is needed.

Zappos is probably the best online retailer I've ever dealt with. I've ordered at least 10 different pairs of shoes from them over the past few years, and I've never had a problem. The couple of times I've spoken with a customer service rep, they've been super friendly and easy to deal with. When I spoke with them last week, it sounded like they were having a party in the call center. :lol I really can't recommend them enough, they kick ass.
