I think Phil is smart enough to limit his time with the fans or on stage...especially after the whole "people are too happy with 360 to purchase the One" thing.

I think Phil's humility comes through a lot on his interviews. When major Nelson asked him about what t-shirt he was going to where he responded that "it's about the content on the stage, I don't want it to be about me"

Phil understands what any neogaf member could have told Microsoft from the very beginning. When you reveal a new games console gaming is the number 1 priority. Microsoft actually has done a pretty fine job from launch till now making sure that there was plenty of compelling gaming content but the first thing we ever saw was Yusuf on stage having to ask for applause after a Kinect demo. That first impression is so so so important. That plus the DRM made what was a pretty good e3 leave a bad taste in gamers mouths in 2013. Now Microsoft fixed a lot of wrongs but the E3 is such a big deal. This might be the most important e3 for the Xbox team ever.

I was definitely debating about going. As long as there is no waiting in the sun I would like to go. Only about a 45 minute drive for me so not too bad.

I have a great feeling about Microsoft. They know they have to win people back with software and somehow, a part of me thinks their going to kill it tomorrow. If they do, I'm definitely buying a kinect-less XB1. I own only a PS4 by now.

If we don't see Mehdi once on stage or in a video I'll declare Microsoft the winner of E3! Seriously he always seems like a snake oil salesman who is out of touch with the gaming side of things. Total opposite of Phil Spencer.
I'd rather get a rock solid 60fps and remove the tearing than a resolution bump, tbh.

Asynchronous gaming is when two gamers play a game at different times. Words with Friends is an example. I'm not sure why Destiny is being referred to this way, but perhaps there's a mode that allows for it. Most of it however isn't asynchronous.

I guess something like competing for times in Trials or Forza. The ghost is there to compete with but your not playing with them or against them at the same time.
