- Dillon gets his arm blown off, and still tries to move around to get a shot at the Predator. in-slo-mo, which is just too slow when you're fighting a Predator.

In Arrested Development, I love it when they show a clip of this scene when introducing Carl Weathers :lol

i bow down to john mctiernan, the man with an incredible filmography consisting of (off the top of my head):

sure, he may be rotting away in jail right about now, but his legacy will live on

this is truly one of the greatest, most badass films of all-time

I love the somber, somewhat patriotic music that plays in the beginning of the movie and the end when Arnold is standing there with the helicopter hovering around him.

When they mowed down the jungle was the most unintentionally hilarious scene in any move. They all started shooting first, asking questions later.

Hahaha. Alone at home, laughing at 'yeon yeown'. For some reason I just couldn't wrap my head around that part. For me it was clearly chinese.

Big bump, but AICN posted a new behind the scenes pic. The first plan for the movie had Van Damme to play the Predator, but he backed out and went on to make Bloodsport. So Stan Winston (and rumor has it, James Cameron) had to design a new creature. I think it worked out for the better.

I never really looked into the original design of the Predator before, but it is so fascinating to find this stuff out after 20+ years of loving the film.

Original design ideas and some on set pics of it:

And rumor has it it was James Cameron's idea to add mandibles to the face. So neat to discover this after all these years.
